So I am watching one of those episodes of DS9, and well this happens of fiction, where you get self inserts from the writers.  Ben Sisko has a 'dream' where he is a writer working for a local science fiction magazine.  During the fifties. Or sixties.  So ractial discrimination.  And just talking about writing...Varric is like that for Dragon Age.  But one of the lines really sticks out to me.  "Just tell them we are writers, poor, but ridiculiously attractive"  Or something along those lines.

Ah.  Well he does write.  Speaking of Gatiss that last script of Doctor Who really has left me scratching my head.  Much like the last episode of Walkiing Dead actually.

Ha, Mark (edit..Moffat.....) and Gatiss, these two! I'm not watching Who, what happened? The ending of the last ep of TWD... who do you think was the voice on the walkie... please tell me what I want to hear....

Well it involved a monster built from a sleep machine.  This machine sort of hyper sped up the sleep process.  The people, humans, in this society could get a month's sleep in just a couple of minutes.  But, this included the dust that would normally build up during the sleep process...which would build up and then we would get of each morning.  And this dust became alive, and carniverous, consume the host and then spreading...and then it became sentient.  Pretty typical Doctor Who stuff except for the fact that, as the 12th Doctor claimed several times throughout the episode 'None of it makes sense!'  The last scene involved Professor Rasmusen, who had been recording the events of the episode entirely, we reveal that he was a sentient dust creatrue a 'sand man' and this whole plot was a means of getting the same signal the sleep machine used to stop sleep, off planet, and infect all of humanity.  Via electrical signal.  I mean, this is odd.  It was not a bad episode, but it was not a good one, the whole thing just left me going hhhuuuuuuuuhhhh?

 

As for the Walking Dead, I am not caught up.  One ep behind.

Doctor who is pretty amazing and usually the monsters make tons of sense and work but this time, well as I said.

I just must be really shitty at describing things.    I was telling my supervisoer and a co worker about the book I was reading and one was like 'did you understand that?' and he was like 'he lost me at blah blah blah'.  

 

Ironically enough the whole thing started when I said 'interesting' and he said 'what did she die?' and I am like 'no, she did not die, she is not even in this' and they were like 'what she are you talking about there are many women in the world you know other then her.'  And I got all flustered for a second and was all like 'I know'  Somehwere along the way I uttered the words 'Its really frustrating that you guys think I am reading some glorified porno or something'.
