To be honest, Loghain remembers her name after some 11 years from Ostagar. He was likely universally loved by his troops.
Seggrit is a racist jerk (I only played Elves, but his first words to the Herald are "I told that knife... I mean that fine elven lass" so... He kind of isn't a priority.

I've never had a problem with saving everyone, besides the very first time doing it (when I had no idea what I was supposed to do).

That annoying moment you hit leaping shot when killing the mobs down by the inn, and it throws you to close to the next 2 guys (Minaeve and Adan?) so their timer starts when you're in combat and you just can't get there in time...
