Like, seriously, how am I supposed to play my, "In the closet gay guy who only had a wife and child because it was seen as the "right" thing to do and, now that she's dead and he's gone, he can finally live how he wants; screwing, stealing, killing and taking drugs until he meets Mr John Hancock, a ghoul and President of Goodneighbor who helps him change his ways with the power of love"! How am I supposed to roleplay that if I can't get into playing as a dude?!

I have a question about the FO4 protagonist in that vein, actually: is there anything that explicitly and unequivocally states they are married and in love and produced the offspring in the standard biological manner?  I am aware there are people angry about that "pushing that life" on players (agendblahblahblah) but considering that the Future America presented is this massively fascist self-deluded tyranny where everyone pretends everything is a-okay while the rest of the world goes to hell even before the nukes... is there wiggle-room for marriages of convenience, adoption, artificial wombs or the like as headcanon?  I'm just curious.  I mean, I assume considering one's own protagonist to be bi is pretty easy anyway.

The worst about Steam sales are games that normally cost something like 40€ and more.

Then they are on sale and cost under 10€.

Both you and your spouse wear wedding rings. Your sons appearance is based on what you make both the male and female look like. So, it's a given that the protagonist had had sex in order for that to happen. During the CC, both male and female mention things like, "that [insert facial feature] is the reason why I said yes", et cetera, so it's clear both have feelings for one another. There isn't anything that I've seen that says otherwise.

 

When people bring up the issue of this, what they aren't taking into account is that, the world in the game to a completely different turn after World War 2. In the real world, homosexuality was still seen as 'wrong' and most men and woman opted to hide it and act straight, going so far as to have children and get married, after WW2. Though it's not stated in the lore, that way of viewing genders may not have changed in universe. Same thing would go for the feminist or civil rights movement. Those things might not have happened in the universe of Fallout, or maybe they happened at an earlier or later time than they did in the real world. That is what people forget when they start spouting "It's an agenda!" and all that shite.

If you like turn based, I'd also suggest Valkyria Chronicles. Also on sale on Steam. I've only played it when it came on PS3, but I'm sure the PC version is better.

 

It's not strat, but still great for that TB fix.
