Know what. As much as I loved the snark in the post, it got real political, real fast.

Long story short: I found out I like something. And now they want to make it illegal.

Make what illegal?

Firearms. Oh, replicas of them, too.

Of course they do.  Nothing new there.  Mind you I am a bit surprised there is a European Country with legal firearm ownership right now, aside from perhaps the Swiss.  I think its the Swiss anyways.  One of the reasons I am still a bit weary about moving to England.  That and I have no idea what their positions are on a few other delicate issues.

Airsoft replicas...?

That's like banning kitchen knives because there are combat knives, too.

Dude my position on the second amendment is so libertarian it would probably make most people at the NRA quake in fear.  So I think its pretty insane too.  Alas that is the logic of the statist.  I should have put logic in air quotes. I imagine this is because of Paris.  I would expect more of this kind of stuff in the future if I were you.  People in the United States have been putting up with this rhetoric for decades.

Radicals. Particularly a radical of the Islamic faith, whom we call, ISIS.

Legal firearm ownership....?

What? How can that even surprise you?

Did you think that "legal firearm ownership" automatically equals military grade assault rifles or something? Well, surprise, there's this thing called sidearms!

That's... some good news. Can't you put your car under a roof of some sort, though?

WHatever, I guess. As long as you're fine. Or as fine as you can be, considering things.

Damn, I must really sound like a dick.

While I am not a expert on French Law by any stretch of the imagination but knowing them I doubt those weapons were legal when they were used in that country.  Those terrorists probably had to smuggle, yes smuggle them, into the country.

And yet, not all radicals enter countries illegally. Some have lived in these countries for years. Grown up in these countries. Are citizens of these countries. If they can get a firearm legally, they likely will. Less hassle. Less likely to get caught before you commit to your 'cause'.

Radical does not equate to illegal immigrant or user of automatic machine guns.

Yet when two attacked a convention in Texas, the resulting shootout had two victims. Guess who.

Again it is unlikely that happened in this particular case.  Considering Isis is a relatively new problem, and so is the massive wave of refugees fleeing into the Unite States and Europe because of them.

hmm, far more libertarian then I would have thought.  But alas the last sentnece proves that, at least in France, those weapons were illegal.

About Tresspasser?  No.  I didn't even try (to avoid spoilers), since I knew it would be several months between release and Me being able to purchase it.

I know most of the SIGNIFICANT events in Tresspasser, but not everything.

Sport shooting, third most spread sport in the country? Even I didn't know that.

I guess there's a bloody point there.

I mean, who can remember what the Czechoslovaks did, both wars. The First World War, fighting for the Emperor, most were not so eager. Instead, Czechoslovak legions were formed in the East and presumably West (though for the western front, political movements are more apparent - Just look up Mr. Masaryk.) - did I mention Czechoslovak legions were actually FEARED in the East?

In the Second World War, in 1938, before the Munich Betrayal (looking at you, right now) the people were eager to enter the Armed Forces and protect the Republic. THERE WERE SUICIDES BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE DENIED THE CHANCE TO PROTECT THEIR COUNTRY. What happened when the War started? Czechoslovaks started RUNNING. Not to suck away social support. No. Once again, Czechoslovak legions were formed in the East. The 310th, 311th, 312th and 313th Squadrons of the Royal Air Force were formed EXCLUSIVELY FROM CZECHOSLOVAKS. On top of this, there were Czechoslovaks in the RAF serving either with British squadrons (Karel Kuttelwascher - his JX-E Hurricane Mk.IIc, the "Night Reaper" is one of the better known - one of the best RAF Night Intruders of the war), or the Polish ones at the very least (Josef František - the Polish called his flying "Metoda Frantizska", and he was the only pilot permitted to fly alone). Tobruk, in North Africa, was also defended by a Czechoslovak unit for some time.

Now tell me to go shove it. You're going right in the ignore if you do.
