Welcome to BioShock

1st person is immersive as **** in ArmA. Get used to it, because...
Well, if they start whizzing twenty mil by your head, you'll KNOW to HIT THE DECK, no matter you won't see anything.
Now I want to play Infinite! Damn ya'll!
That's a mixture of "I'm stating the ****** obvious" and "It's a fact."
I've never really played first person pov! I din't know if I'll like it...
This never occurred to me as a potential barrier to enjoyment (mostly because I've played more FPS games than any other genre).
I think it absolutely is. If I can switch, I use over the shoulder camera. Except for Skyrim. There I switch a lot. This never occurred to me as a potential barrier to enjoyment (mostly because I've played more FPS games than any other genre).
Well, I said I wasn't gonna play Mark of the Assassin, but I did. About to do the final quest... but now the News has enamored me.... again.
If they didn't make Hawke viscount, I'd say siding with Templars as a mage would be a neat choice. They screwed that up.
I just find I can control my chsracter better if I can see where I'm going; I often fall off staircases in first person
Odd... ![]()
But I can't talk. I often get nauseous playing games. I don't know what triggers it though.. some games don't do it.

Shooters otherwise have to be first person view to me.
Don't know why but that's how it is.
I'm the same. When I can switch, I use third person for open exploration. First for dungeon crawling.
Shooters, I prefer first person. I can do third person, such as in Gears of War, but there aren't many that I enjoy.
half the time I fall over even in third person view, I am not coordinated at all, haha.I only need real first person view to achieve that...

Best way to get better is to practice in first person more often ![]()
(But then I also could never be starting a new game and not shutting the rest out -- like if I were starting a game like Bioshock I would not have been back on BSN for at least an hour -- so we have very different approaches in general)
I'm keeping my anxiety levels down by playing a few rooms and then coming to chat for a bit.Best way to get better is to practice in first person more often

I like both, but I think shooters in third person are kind of pointless. They rarely make use of interesting third person mechanics (like acrobatics or climbing). It's great for other action games.
Reminds me of Skyrim again. Who cares about roads when you can fall off mountains?half the time I fall over even in third person view, I am not coordinated at all, haha.
I tried that with GTA5. I crushed far more cars, traffic lights, people, hedges... you get the impression... as usual. I'm still too stupid for that. GTA 3rd person foreverBest way to get better is to practice in first person more often
To be honest, GTA5 First Person was plain useless and retarded.
Still it was much better than the previous attempt. To be honest, GTA5 First Person was plain useless and retarded.

For the first 6 years of my gaming tenure I was deep into FPS, around 2007 I started becoming more interested in the story behind the games I played, shifting my interest toward MMOs exclusively. New shooters titles started to grab my attention back (with special mention to the Bioshock and ME series) so I currently switch between shooters and MMOs. The "First Person" perspective has not been that much of a hurdle and it is a big plus for my immersion, as far as the story is engaging. "Old school" (not relying heavily on storytelling) shooters like Quake, DOOM and Duke Nukem no longer grab my attention.
Still it was much better than the previous attempt.
And it led to some funny online challenges
Yeah, such as when you play first person, and an idiot just uses third to look around corners and stuff.

I spend half my gaming time with the map open trying to figure out how I got lost.. AGAIN...
I heard MEA will have jetpacks or something.. so maybe it'll address what I was talking about.
Hopefully Biotics will have levitaton too.
