Yeah, Ormeli is definitely great. She also has an Eponine cosplay (of all things) that I quite like.

I'm getting used to the play style, although I find enemies can pop up behind me a lot more easily than in third person PoV.

That's by design :P

You know, though, this talk about 1st vs 3rd person has me thinking that my time playing shooters is probably part of why I prefer archers in non-shooters. I played a lot of Skyrim in 1st person to put myself behind the bow. In fact the lack of first person in DAI is one of my least favorite things about it... I often find myself wanting to look closer at things, or take a screenshot without my back on-screen, and cannot do so. Hm...

it's an annoying design! They're quick motherfuckers. That's why I prefer the wrench to the guns, lol.

Oh man, that's basically why I only take screenshots during cutscenes. Ash though is the queen of pics, ask her for advice.

Yeah I mostly stick to cutscenes as well. If I had a PC I might have more autonomy with screenshots but with console (and without picture mode, which some PS4 games actually have chosen to include) the options are fairly limited.

Oof, that must suck. I'm starting to love my laptop more and more; I have a usb controller and I get the best of both worlds.

you gotta be tricky. run dai character up against a wall/cliff or other object which will force the camera to zoom in to what is pretty much the closest you get to a first person view, cutting your character out of the view due to that forced closeness of the camera.

...

Dieb explains it so much better...

The problem is that I'm a photographer IRL (or at least, was one), so having no control over framing or direction because I'm stuck to walls kinda kills any incentive I have to bother with it.

One of us has to change our avatar! Lol.

I keep thinking I've made these posts, wondering what I've written, and then realize it's you. :P

Haha. Makes me wonder what all those people with hundreds of posts but still using the default silhouette-of-a-head avatar go through.

Should I discover a more fitting representation of myself, I will change things up :P

Clearly a gif fight needs to happen to decide who changes their avatar.

As far as taking screenshots goes though, I'm fine with my characters being in the shot, depending on the game.

Sometimes, it's better they aren't. Fort Duelist for instance.

I don't understand how they do it.

It's all good, but the one rule of Dazzle avatars is that it needs to be Disney related, and I'm starting to run out or applicable avatars!

I'd love to have a gif fight, but I'm on mobile sadly.

I'd lose, since I don't store or keep track of 99% of gifs. I'm only very slowly acclimating to the popularity of that kind of response here :)

Disney avatars are grand though. Fem!Hades is too good to just pass up because of a fat seal. I may end up just using my face. Would that be too pedestrian of me?

From one of the few non-kiddie Disney movies, and it's first to carry a non "G" rating.  Do it, Dazzle!!!

I've had so many gif fights, grand old time.

Glad you like FemHades too, I was amazed at the art when I found it! Too gorgeous.

I wouldn't say pedestrian, but not nearly as fun or creative :P

That's Maximillion!  The robot from The Black Hole, a movie Disney released in the 70s.  This was before they decided they should probably release movies like that under a non-Disney name and came up with Touchstone Pictures.  Anyhoo, you said your avatars had to be Disney related and you were running out.

Granted, he's no princess, but if you photoshop a wig and some glass slippers on that bad boy...

ETA:  A tribute video exists, it seems.

Looking for avatars slightly less robotic, but I didn't realize that Touchstone was Disney, cool!

I'll likely go for Alice in Wonderland next.

You should read up on what else is Disney at some point. It's a terrifyingly big list.

Screen shots? Excuse me while I fly away with fly cam to explore areas that no one should have been allowed to explore.

Found it! Waiting for the Supreme Royness approval to start pestering there

You're all set, bro.

DQ awesomeness is dangerous and I see why twisted trolls (or Alcoholic Anonymous fanatics) would do anything on their power to sabotage our imbibition and want to see us drinking only mineral water to the end of our days.

We did have someone, in good fun, try to start prohibition. http://forum.bioware...on-prohibition/

That was a fun day.
