*blinks*  It's MP?  I actually bought the only PC version (Halo:  Combat Evolved) with plans to get into it, but I didn't realize it is MP. :(

There's single player mode and multiplayer.

I should have put that better; what I meant is, it's popular as a multiplayer game. But there is a single player mode. As an anti-social gamer, I never MP.

It's the first game I ever actually wanted to keep reading about in novels (I read the first three). Only other game I've read novelization of was Gears of War, and that's because the book I read was written by the woman who also authored the third (and strongest, narratively-speaking) game. Bungie went crazy with the lore. And then in the remasters (and MCC) went even crazier by including terminals with even more lore nested within. They even ran an alternate reality game back around Halo 2's release, which might be interesting to read about some time. It was called "I Love Bees."

I love how you get an achievement every time you access those terminals. MCC is an achievement wh*re's wet dream. I got an achievement for getting killed by an elite the other day

What trilogy?

That's what I love about the South, all that delicious pork. At work on Thanksgiving, they served us pulled pork sandwiches from a local BBQ joint. Mmmmmmmm

In Texas, it's Beef BBQ all the time.. I think there's kind of a rivalry with the rest of the South.

But it's good, I agree.

Maybe it's your region. I always have good Xbox connects. I get more pissed off with PSN.

I have trouble with both. I'm kinda glad I bought Halo 5 on disc because the game is 60 fkn gbs. (Although that may not really matter seeing as most of Fallout 4's disc installation you had to download off the internet.)

Some games I have to download overnight.

I'd buy something that big too. But I'm cool with FO. I got to preload that days before, luckily.

But it's also Halo. It's kind of nice to have the discs for those.

I'm in Tennessee so pork pork pork. I do love beef though, but pork will always be favorite. And now I'm hungry.

Morning, guys and gals.

On the subject of Halo and Cortana. Cortana, as shown in the first 4 games, is very much representative of Chief's soul. She is as much a part of him as he is of her. Both of them drive the other ever forwards. Chief would go to the ends of the universe to find and protect her. That is made evidence in Halo 5.

They care very deeply about one another. Not romantically. Not on any people relationship equivalent. More like the relationship between the mind and the body. They co-exist, harmoniously. Until 5 that is. This makes the set up for Halo 6 that much sadder.

Yeah, I would already have played 5 by now if I had a One, but part of me is glad that I don't because based on how 343 handled Halo 4, I get the sense that I'm just going to be upset by the story they are telling.

Admittedly, anyone who has played Halo 5 will tell you that the story is very much a stop gap. Filler. An explanation for what happens between 4 and 6. There is a story, and it is good, but it's like, half a chapter in a book.

My thinking for what will happen in 6 is:

In fairness, having not played but having seen a lot of marketing, it sort of sounds like in-game they're treating him like a villain already. Isn't half the game spent hunting him down as a wanted man or something?

It isn't so far fetched really.

In the future people will be programming their own robot girlfriends/boyfriends.

I'd wager BioWare will go out of business ;)

My objection isn't to the feasibility of it happening, but to the heartwrenchingly tragic notion of people replacing interpersonal relationships with -- however lifelike they may be -- tools and toys. Those future people will, however cleverly one tries to rephrase it, simply be customizing a pet rock doubling as a sex toy.
