Pffft Phalanx. Isn't that one only available in ME2 with one of those lame DLC packs? Talon or go home.

I bought a lame DLC pack today. For DA2

Well, I'll try and answer your issues and this is my first Fallout and didn't think I'd like it but after reading what Dieb said and some of the FO posts in the group, I'm so glad I gave it a go.

Spoiler

YEah ok...the guy I am watching does not seem to be playing it right then.

I admit the guy I am watching just could be shwoing nothing of what I would be interested in...but in general I do not find 'open world' to be too overhwhelmcing, I just want a point to all the exploration other then 'explore'.  Which is sad because most RPGs do not have an over reaching point to their exploration system.  DA I did.  Which is why DA I was awesome.

Well that's Bethesda's thing; explore. If you wanna build settlements for instance, or find stuff to help you survive, you kinda have to explore. For instance, I got radiation poisoning pretty bad. A little exploring and I found some RadAway. Sure, you can buy the stuff but there is a chance you won't last long before you actually find a place to buy the crap.

That's a new word. And there was a point to exploring in DAI? The explore was there just to explore to me.

Nope. I didn't get sick until after I had already started my shift and I'm already at my call in limit.

Well, that sucks more.  Sorry you are ill, hon.

I thought it was to collect Mosaic pieces and solve astrarium puzzles. That **** is important.

My problem with open world games is that i tend spend more time dicking about than doing what i'm supposed to do :P  And if the game has a quest list instead linear missions then my log will be like 26 pages long and i just wont bother =]

When it comes to RPGs I think I prefer the linear approach. (Sue me).

I.e go somewhere for main quest, then do all the little sidequests along the way. So kinda like Origins, or if you've played Shadowrun, like that.

Sure.  Gurgle gurgle.  I am glad I did not pay full price for it that's for sure.  Still will probably pick it up at some point.  But I am dissapoint.

The whole purpose for exploring in DA I, indeed --everything-- in DAI was to grow the power of the Inquisition.  That counter actually had a legitimate effect because it showed you were having an impact on the world in a way that was meaningful, and easy to quantify.  The random fetch quests weren't just randomly about helping people ot where the player had to purely come up with their own motivations.  The player had a reason to do so.  Just one more person the Inquisition helped out.  One more person they positively influenced.  It was brilliant in its simplicity.  And few other RPGs have that.  Though Witcher 3 had a few things that came close, even then the exploration was pretty pointless.

Well Open World and Open World lite are the wave of the future.  All the game's are doing it these days.

Yeah. Had left over BioWare points when I was buying story DLCs (only ones I was interested in) so I decided it'll be better to grab weapon and armor packs rather than RNG boxes in ME3MP.

I have none of the ones for DA2 or Sebastian and I consider my DA2 complete.

I don't mind open world. I just prefer the other way. And it all depends on the execution.

Trespasser ftw.  I forgot how much I could love really tight story telling in games.

You know, I would have thought by this point EA would include all DLC for the ME trilogy and DA2 when they sell the base game.

So the options suck for straight men in FO4? Huh. I'm already settled on playing the female anyways, but I'm sort of still curious..

I don't need options in DAI. Cass is cool to me. It's the Inquisitor options that are stupid.

I still dig the ME1 end credits song. Not sure what it means though.

Here's hoping ME2 shows up on X1.. else I'll get impatient and play on the 360.

They didn't get as many as straight females.. just like DAI

Only thing I hated about the Inquisitor was the dialogue. It was cringe-worthy.
