Yes, I am aware that this was the purpose Bioware tried to convey with the exploration. It was poorly implemented, in my opinion. Very few zones were able to make me feel like the Inquisition was changing and helping the people. Crestwood, even as a shadow of its former self, is a good example of Inquisition influence. The Frostback Basin is another one. Emprise du Lion. Let's not forget the fact that you can buy influence and power, so you don't even have to explore and do fetch quests. While I enjoy the introduction of open zone exploration, I can understand why others do not, and see it as pointless.Sure. Gurgle gurgle. I am glad I did not pay full price for it that's for sure. Still will probably pick it up at some point. But I am dissapoint.
The whole purpose for exploring in DA I, indeed --everything-- in DAI was to grow the power of the Inquisition. That counter actually had a legitimate effect because it showed you were having an impact on the world in a way that was meaningful, and easy to quantify. The random fetch quests weren't just randomly about helping people ot where the player had to purely come up with their own motivations. The player had a reason to do so. Just one more person the Inquisition helped out. One more person they positively influenced. It was brilliant in its simplicity. And few other RPGs have that. Though Witcher 3 had a few things that came close, even then the exploration was pretty pointless.

How dare you Cass is the third most womanly woman who has ever wimmined.
You're not credible enough on this subject, considering you created Kara just to get Cullen in your hole.

When BioWare added that patch with better loot and crafting material drops, I enjoyed exploration a hell of a lot more.

You know damn well I did no such thing. Kara was originally intended for Iron Bull. But then his blatant Qunari Qun Qunari in the beginning was kind of a big turn off for Kara of the Free Spirit.

So.. you guys have female relatives that look like men? Interesting. *Drinks*
No, my mom doesn't. She's short and Asian. heh
Funnily, since my Dad is white and tall and skinny.. I came out probably resembling some features with Cass. And I am a guy.
But whatever. She's still more feminine.

So no bad factions either?
Did they learn nothing from New Vegas? I know it's not their game, but come on.
The factions are grey, even the Minutemen. In Fallout 3, the Brotherhood of Steel were very much the good guys. The story guided you into joining them, they stopped the bad guys, the Enclave etcetera etcetera. However, the Capital Wasteland chapter of the Brotherhood was actually led astray by their Elder. The Brotherhoods mandate is to protect the world from dangerous technology and to destroy the mutated creatures that wonder it. Not protect people from everything else. In Fallout 4, the Brotherhood are shown to follow the original purpose. They still help, but it's in accordance with their mission, not because they're good people.
The other three factions, I need to delve deeper into myself to give an honest answer, but I do know that all the factions are grey. They're good and bad.

*snort* Yeah I forgot how Qunari with human women tends to be red to your bull. No pun intended.
Kara probably is one of my more thought out and head cannoned characters though. Second only to my Shepard in all honesty. Ben would be third.

Qunari are a just lame idea, that's all. No different than me slamming some crappy kid's drawing. I won't lie and tell them it's good.
But Bull is particularly annoying.

I was kidding anyway. I don't believe Cass looks like a man. The crotch shots at the start kinda prove that.. and not to mention I did start her romance and saw her boobs.
While it's a good romance.. I felt sick afterwards. I dunno why, it just felt wrong. So I ended up deleting that Inquisitor and romancing Sera for the billionth time instead. I cannot do any other romance.

Which robes?
It's hit and miss on both genders, depending on the robe.

Since Kara was all young and virginal.

Cool. I don't understand exactly, but I get you. I don't really get sick playing that way, but I don't feel quite as attached or care as much as my other characters.

Oh me feeling sick had nothing to do with the characters. It was the cheese factor.
But I appreciate that it's a well written romance and all.

I think that's the point? I mean if she has never done it with anyone...she has never had to worry...about that.

Like Bethany's Circle robes?
I think all of the regular robes like that look goofy no matter what. Male variations aren't that much better. Hawke is just not one for robes, I think. I like the stuff with pants. Or if you have DLC, those armors.
