Higher ups wanted to kill off the Star Trek TV series. Now it's got what 12 movies?
Ranks right up there with Universal turning down Star Wars, huh?

I haven't seen it. I'll probably get around to it. I usually start watching something when it's a decade or so out of fashion.
It's probably already out of fashion. I remember people being bummed how it turned out while it was airing. Kind of like ME or Lost got it's own fans annoyed.
So now I am trying to pick up the pieces and go back to writing something after not doing it for a month. Can I do it?
If you're anything like me (Maker help you.), you'll re-read what you wrote previously, be dissatisfied because you can't pick up the flow, will try to fix it up, grow frustrated, and start launching calendars at people.
Edited to add: Those of us who picked up JE got some new bling. Cool.
I liked the BSG ending. I loved it. Everything from 'Kara Remember's on was epic as hell.

I don't think I will start launching calenders at people.
It turned into Touched By an Angel.... in space.
Not exactly what I signed on for.

But yet what the entire series was leading to...

I managed to steer clear of Lost. Though, I've been warned that the ending to DS9 is 'out there.' I'm in the midst of watching it for the first time. When folks find that out they tend to ask me to let them know when I get to the end...and then cackle evilly.
But yet what the entire series was leading to...
Then I take a dump on the whole thing.
It was entertaining for the characters at first. Especially Starbucks and Baltar. But it went downhill for me.

Ending of DS9 is nowhere near as bad. In fact, it's pretty mundane and just a war story. And whatever "wonky" stuff is already well established at the beginning of the series. There's a lot of preparation for how it ends. Lots..

Good. Then it won't be another BBC's Merlin. I'm now trying to decide what is the worst series' finale I ever saw. Thankfully, my memory is poor.

**** Yotube does not seem to have the clip I want.
What the hell is wrong with people the ending to DS9 was awesometacular. One of the few endings that got it right. In point of fact as much as I diss on trek, and rightfully so, they pretty much universally had great series enders. With the exception of TOS and Enterprise.

It's for the best.
I really... really don't like how it turned out.

No its the clip where Lee goes "Gaius Baltar?!" When the Quroum says they want to make hims omething...I forget what...pretty much my exact reaction when anyone says they like him.

I kind of had that running in the background..I don't remember everything. I just remember the ending and a lot leading to it being kind of forgettable. And I never cared about Arthur enough.. It's like I was always hoping to.. but the fact that they kept Merlin's identity hidden up until the end just made it all the more frustrating.
Lee Adama is my BFF ![]()

I can't speak for Enterprise because I bailed early on and I haven't seen Voyager (Another one I'll have to get around to seeing.) I agree with you on TOS, though. What the heck?
Enterprise was prematurely canceled.. it was getting even better with those big season arcs..

WEll TOS I think was before series planned out final episodes. they just did episodes until the network told them 'no'.

That's actually part of what ended the show. Bradley James (Arthur's actor), refused to do another season. He had been pushing the writers to do the reveal since about season two. That's when the character derailment set in big time for pretty much everybody.

the ****** Xindi man. Some of the best writing Trek ever did.
The Xindi arc is among my three favorite seasons of any television show of all time along with B5 season 4 and 24 season 5.

Funny.. I knew nothing of the background and yet still saw it through just viewing.

Never actually seen 24 or B5.. but I'll like your post anyways ![]()

I went looking for background info after the series 2 premiere aired and I couldn't figure out what had happened to everybody. ![]()
