American Independence Day.  Though its nice to see the Czech's have their own too.

Not like we call it that way. 28th October 1918 is when the Czechoslovak Republic ("First Republic") officially came to be. It is still a national holiday to this day.

 

It's just the closest thing there is.

But Independence Day has always been an American thing.  At least the first one.  It was the most 'America **** yeahiest' thing before Team America World police...whuich I did not see.

Though that does bring up the issue when exactly the first Independence day was.    Most of the hollidays I know of off the top of my head didn't happen until after the American Revolution.  So do most of the independence movements I can think of...no wait there was the whole Dutch seperating from Spain thing in the 17th Century.
