Actually, while I think the premise is brilliant I'm actually not a fan of Chuck Pahlaniuk's writing, too much stream of consciousness. One of the first cases where I prefered the movie to the book!

You might still want to check out the comic, just to see how it strikes you. The medium is restrictive enough, at least where wordiness is concerned, that a lot of that internality needs to be conveyed visually. Full disclosure: I've only read the first issue.

To be serious, I hate when people kill Hawke because it generally means they hate DA2. And they're just being spiteful. It's even more annoying when they talk about things they like about this game --- even though they would have been part of DA2, if people were patient (like Mythal/Arbor Wilds stuff). It's not just Hawke that suffers either.. Even Merrill sucks now. Now the Inquisitor and Gaspard and Celene and Briala know more about Eluvians than she does. It's kind of pathetic. One of the best Dalish characters being outshined by a Chevalier and City Elf.

 

I also think Hawke's already had a bad life. It seems a bit malicious to lay it on them even more. Generally speaking. There are some Hawkes that it'd fit. But Hawke in general deserving death? That's a bunch of bullshit.

Ahem. Sorry for the rant then. That's the perfect reason to do it.

 

I haven't done it yet.. and I'd probably have to be detached from a Hawke to roleplay it. Like maybe I'd kill the trailer Hawke... like an aggressive blood mage. Complete with Nutella smeared on his face. And I'd kill a Qunari supporting Hawke.
