Lock Bash mod :P

Warriors and mages can open locks, but if I remember how the mod worked in DA:O, they'd break anything fragile (potion bottles, traps, reagents, etc.)

Canon Warden - Rogue (Archer)

Canon Hawke - Rogue (Archer)

Canon Inquisitor - Rogue (Archer)

I detect a pattern.

Warden... Rogue (Longsword/Dagger)

Champion... Rogue (Dual Dagger)

Inquisitor... Rogue (Dual Dagger)

I detect a similar pattern... if I may say so.

true for DA:O, but in DA:I there are places you go without your companions and you miss out on opening things if you aren't a rogue.

I have my 6 playthroughs in DA:O, I'm not touching it again.

So I've had a dual wielding warrior Warden, a force mage Hawke and a tempest archer Inquisitor. Considering the next game is apparently in Tevinter, and with Solas up to his business, the next will have to be a female elf mage. Non Dalish hopefully. For maximum plot-iness and drama.

(the Pathfinder will be biotic, and also a woman)

I've never played a game like this where I will have to choose prior characters/events in addition to making choices in a new game. So I don't yet know which inquisitor I will end up most wanting to carry into a future continuity, though I did work pretty hard to create at least one world state with a softened Leliana heading the chantry and mages enjoying unprecedented freedom.

But my default in games is female elven rogue, when possible. The aforementioned world state happens to be mage, and my current (Atha'Lia) is a sword/shield warrior, but that was only after a couple ladies with bows in their hand and one with daggers.

ME1: Soldier

ME2: Soldier

ME3: Soldier

I wonder what ME:A will be?

DA is more versatile. I tend to favor Warriors in DAO, Mages in DA2, and Mage-Warriors (KE, Melee Rift Mage, Templars) in DAI.

I'll probably go for a Warrior-Mage a la Fenris in Tevinter. Lyrium tattoos optional.

I just got a 6 million year old fossil and 3D printed models of early hominid fingerbones during the department's white elephant holiday party.

Working in science doesn't exactly pay well, but it's pretty awesome

LOL, I wish :P I work in the Department of Cell and Neurobiology, which (somewhat strangely) contains all of the gross anatomy faculty for the medical school.  Two of those professors work on fossils; one is an expert in human evolution, and the other is a paleontologist who specializes in flying dinosaurs but does all kinds of field studies.  He collected the snail fossils from a dig site in Maryland, and brought them back as gifts for the department.

Hey DQ!

I've been reading some of the latest threads in GD (Spoilers) and I just think that... some people are just here to rile other people up. Reading some posts is really degrading and just... revolting.

Sure Bioware needs critiques, and they are welcomed as long as they're constructive and logic (be them good or bad). But more often than not... I pity the moderators and Bioware workers who are trying their best to provide a story for the fans and get downright BS (sorry, I had to) thrown at their faces from stupid, conceited jerks.

I'm really mad

I'm sorry, I needed to share this with someone who understood

I really need a drink

Those people shield themselves behind the concept of "constructive criticism" but that is not constructive criticism, it's bashing and I find it despicable.

There was a lot of this after ME3.  There's a world of difference between saying "There's a problem with this game," and "There's a problem with the people who made this game."  Three guesses which one counts as constructive criticism  <_<

It can be gutwrenching, the things that people think they're justified in saying.

Like for god's sake, who raised them? Even wolves are more dignified!

The Greater Internet F***wad Theory at work.  Or at least, I hope it is, and people don't actually think it's ok to behave like that.  It gives me some (potentially delusional) hope for humanity :P

I've heard that theory, it seems to stand up. But I think it requires a great lack of self-awareness to actually type out such words and press the send button.

When I find a thread title interesting I go, wishing to find something that'll add something, you know? Knowledge, w/e (about the franchise, etc)

And then I get so mad/tired/... of reading some comment, be it w/e size, that I just don't have the energy to read the thread further, even if its origins are interesting

I totally get you.

The amount of times I've backed out of a topic due to not dis-interest, but lack of energy to deal with stupidity is immeasurable.

I totally get you, that's why I almost don't even look at other threads anymore besides this one, the Blanketfort and some of the Inquisitor pictures ones. I know I'll end up frustrated and/or angry, why bother?

Sometimes, if I'm lucky, drunk, and the conversation is daft enough, it's hilarious  Though I will be the first to admit that these Goldilocks scenarios are few and far between

I like to check out other threads because I find debating about fashions and dialogue wheels, etc. interesting. But geeze, some of the threads I come across make me want to weep :P
