This place has gotten a little... stale... Any thread, any group, that has gone on this long, will start to fracture. The more time the same people spend around each other, the more they will learn about each other, and this isn't always a good thing. I understand why people are leaving, and admittedly, I have been thinking of doing the same thing, for a while now. I only really come here out of habit anymore. The more people leaving, the less I feel I need to come back here. But also, there just isn't anything to talk about now that unifies everyone in here. Talk about one off-topic, people don't like it. Talk about another, others won't like that. It's coming to the end, this place... We all knew it was going to happen. It's time is coming to an end. We all best accept this, and be prepared to move on somewhere else.

Stormy doesn't like conflict and I don't blame her especially if you are sensitive to it - it's best to remove oneself for a while.  It has been snippy in here lately, I'll say it and I don't really like the atmosphere too much at the moment.  Some personalities clash, that's what the ignore button is for.

After reviewing the last few pages, the best I can come up with is that undue sensitivity was either present or perceived in the exchange about where that image from Facebook came from. So maybe when Serza said "Why are you being like this" Stormy may have thought something like "I can't even tease here anymore without people getting all serious" and that was that. I don't know if Serza was actually getting upset over the lack of specificity about Stormy's Facebook feed contents, or whether conveying that was the intent, but that's the best I could come up with.

Sure that's part of the little joke I am playing.  Granted I do not know what orthography actually means but I do know that most of the mistakes I make in here, intentional or not, aren't grammar related.

I think, though, that underscores the point.

 

The fact that anyone even has to worry that some slight teasing on their part offended someone and/or made them want to leave. It sounds like that never used to be an issue for the DQ and the fact that it is now a weekly occurrence implies the whole mood of the group has shifted too far out of the "fun zone" to remain a place of comfort or unwinding for people.

We need to move elsewhere. I think this is a simple truth. Andromeda should be the best place, because it's here on the same forum, but really, anywhere would do. Another forum maybe. Somewhere with different people. The problem now with this thread is that it is the same people, and the same attitude that it started with. Since this thread started, not many people have actually joined in. Sure, we get the odd one or two every now and then, and some of those people stick around long term. But the attitude this thread has stays the same regardless. It doesn't adapt. We need to move this group somewhere else, if it is to survive.

Most definitly but I would think waiting closer for Andromeda's release date.
