In Lebanon it's Christmas Eve on 24th and Christmas Day on 25th.
I'm flying home in a few hours. This will be the first Christmas in 8 years where my entire family is going to be together.
I'm so excited

I... don't think I'll ever see the entire family at one Christmas table ever again.
Allow me to shrug. That's life.
Traditions in the US differ with each family and where that family is from. A bunch of the traditions I follow come from my Danish grandmother so I grew up with Christmas Eve being the bigger holiday.

Being what basically amounts to a country of immigrants, it's not very surprising.
I don't really know Danish traditions very well, either, but I'll assume there would be more than two paralels running there.
As much as Bohemia and Moravia are historically Slavic lands, we HAVE spent a massive amount of time under the rule of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and even before that, German influence has always been a massive issue in the past, at one point the language being at risk, with German taking over almost everywhere.
