Honestly, there are just as good of sales around Feb/March, than during Black Friday and Boxing day, there's just way less advertising. I'd rather skip out on the chaos and just spend a few dollars extra.

It's decided. The inquisitor who will pop the proverbial fruit is a dwarf ( or Qunari but leaning toward dwarf ) rouge and her name shall be Haldis ( which means Stone Spirit ) 'Half elf' (added jokingly due to being slimmer and taller than a dwarf should. Fae facial structure and being Albino doesn't help)

Current Backstory (might be inaccurate): Haldis was named that by a small Cadash crew who found her as a toddler and after much debate took her in and raised her. Soon enough they realize she had some peculiarities that set her apart. Haldis had a politically savvy mindset combined with a quick grasp of things that helped her create or modify inventions and artifacts. Enough that her 'family' came to believe if she was born with a caste (and in Orzammar) then she'd be honored greatly. Also Haldis retained some sort of Stone Sense despite living on the surface which helped the syndicate locate some barely touched lyrium deposit near the surface. She followed the singing.  Most Cadash know not to bring lyrium near her due to the strange and random events that causes so Hal is mostly a go-between with crafting on the side

The reason why she was at the conclave was not only to spy on what happens but was a test of sorts. Her fame ( and infamy in regards to lyrium ) won her a following among young recruits and some veterans so after a gathering of the heads of the Cadash house and five prominent Carta it was decided to offer her a chance at forming a small family of her own with connections to the 'parent' houses. She was to be given that honor (plus being fairly young at 17-18) upon her return... but nug shite happens .

Most likely non canon but I like this background *Is very proud of her future assassin *

'Muricans generally get confused when you say boxing day. I'm cultured enough to know about it.

This is what I will be drinking for the next week or two. I have four bottles in the fridge right now.

Tonight Scrooged was on. I really like Bill Murray, so it's one of few Christmas films that I haven't grown completely tired of seeing.

My mother has Scrooged, Jingle All The Way and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (is that the real English titel?) on DVD and I made it a habit putting them on when I'm in their living room on Christmas.
I think all three of them are pretty great, no matter how often you've seen them.

And regarding the last one: I want these moose glasses the Griswold's have!

Wow, so Jingle All the Way is as popular as those. I thought I was weird for liking it.

National Lampoon's is definitely great too..

On a funny sidenote, one of my dad's friends is a working actor.. he used to live with Mickey Rourke when they were young. And they were both tutored by the crazy grandpa in Christmas Vacation. I guess that was the best schooling they could afford at the time.

Beautiful song to go with a beautiful, hand-drawn animation :)

The only cover of the song i really like (mainly because i'm a huge fan of original Nightwish):

That's funny.. because beside sounding a little Celtic, I thought a band like Nightwish could do it :D

Scrooged is one of my top 20. For real.

I like the ghost that whacks him with the toaster.

heh, weird. Boxing Day 26th dec (the day after christmas- 25th dec) is a big day, and a national public holiday, in Australia. Always weird hearing that other countries have barely even heard of the term. It really can't be an Aussie thing, we steal stuff from other countries...

edit: aha! UK day/term, that makes more sense!

My research yesterday on the Mostly Accurate Font Of Much Knowledge indicated that Boxing Day as a thing originated in the UK from the mid 19thC as the giving of gifts in boxes to servants and employees. As such it was passed to places that were in the Empire following that, which is why it's not big in the US - they left the party before it became a thing. Or perhaps they just had their own party instead...

She was oddly... hot.

The cab driver (ghost of christmas past) is David Johansen. Used to be the lead singer of the New York Dolls.

I only have a stache because I have a beard. You don't want a stache by itself. It's the worst part.
