So I celebrated the arrival of Christmas Day by being quite good in SWB.... but only because I can't handle dragons

The new Blizzard game I can't wait for is Overwatch. Gonna pre-order that as soon as possible. That will be awesome! (but likely another game with no story element).

 

No significant story element whatsoever. I played it for a weekend. Sorry :/

LA Noire was intersting. The closest thing to police genre on ps3 aside from mentioned was Heavy Rain and that's debatable

 

I liked Heavy Rain, but that game was goofy...

 

Or at least how it played out for me. The big cop guy ended up being my villain.. but it was totally random. I didn't see it working out that way at all.

Yeah it was random as hades. Have you ever heard of a game called Folklore? It's a rather rare ps3 rpg that cutscenes were more like a comic or artwork. It has dual protagenants and twisted mysteries

I always wanted to play it, but lost track of it, I guess. I bought the PS3 at launch and it was one of their first games... just didn't get it. Same with Heavenly Sword.

Didn't care for Heavenly Sword. You might like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning as well. You die in the opening movie ( i think ) while fighting a undying respawning Tuatha (fae - Winter court) army and basically wake up surrounded by corpses due to being the sole resurrection success. You literally have no predetermined destiny any more and can perma kill immortals. Many famous fantasy authors wrote about the plot and had mixed reviews.

It does need a certain mindset but I love Tuatha (and winter/summer courts) legends. Is your copy GOTY *sizes you up*
