Merrill was usually my Hawke's romance. I think I only had one playthrough where Carver lived and Merrill was not romanced. Carver was so awkward and I couldn't help but laugh at his attempts to woo Merrill.

 

I think I was still a little mad at Carver because of how b*tchy he was to my Mage Hawke who romanced Merrill.

Besides that, he died in Awakening apparently... After hearing of Trespasser, I think he might've been a ghost like a killed Leliana.. or at best, on his last leg like Wynne was.

The poor sod was lucky in my playthrough! He made it through in Awakening

Think I'll jump into DAI once I'm done playing Kotor 2. I'm towards the end game, on the Ravager, ravaging the Sith troops with Darth Nihilus next.

 

Was going to go to Kotor but I can only take looking at  these ancient graphics so far.
