How much crit is possible with some of these swords?

 

Because I wouldn't mind making a somewhat offensive Champion 2h. But I need Crit. And Axes seem better for that. But I hate Axes.

Aaaah, I love playing a 2h Champion with high crit chance and damage. 

But the axes are really better for that just... get over it.

I won't. I'm just not going to play then. ****** idiots, limiting my options to a weapon type. It's just as stupid as limiting my backstory to something resembling Sebastian. I can only take so much.

 

There's a reason why they keep overusing the warrior with swords in their promos. Because it's ****** sexy. Axes just aren't. And swords are pure weapons of war.. No utilitarian history. Besides that, for fantasy they're associated with dirty people.

I hate all of their little choices in this game. And it stacks up, lame feature after feature, and I become a bit irate.

I've said this before, but with her personality, Cass has always been using two-handed swords in combination with battlecries for me. She seems like the kind of person who protects by acting first; storming in like a rhino and buffing her companions

I'm trying to look at class options.. 2h weapons suck. Seems like hammers and axes are better than swords. What ****** retard wants to play with hammers?

Just finish Nightmare for achievo and play Casual. No need to care about having the really, really cool gear since you're playing on Casual, and hey!

 

Having finished Nightmare makes you Casually Awesome.

The game is already a slog. I don't want to just feel like I'm going through the motions, pressing buttons.

 

I can do it 5 years later on DAO, when I'm just trying to rush in an import for DA2.. but not when I barely played a game.

 

How about Hardcore at least? What do I have to think about here?

I dunno, she's killing on Nightmare; hence I delcareth it good enough. I always go form over function and dislike using build(-guides), so I wouldn't know what I'm missing out. Also remember that as a player, you get a lot more Passive bonuses over the playthrough than a companion, and Cass is limited to Templar.

 

I used the cloth for crit % bonus, as well as the grip and pommel; the other slot for HoK and +Attack. Then just set WotH and Cleanse on preferred for the good old  wombo-combo; which can easily AoE strike for a few multiple thousands of damage - this is where the superior weapon damage and crit chance really comes to shine for her, compared to the general S&B stats.

 

P.S.: I could get more Crit and Attack out of her equipment, but I also use some slots for sheer defense, given NPCs don't know how to Combat Roll. Setting Charge to preferred also helps, cause she will thus frequently break out of getting beaten up; as undirected as it may be.
