Somebody turned on winter.

Temperatures dropped from hovering around 0 degrees to -15 now with heavy snowfall over the weekend. And the forecast says the lowest on thursday is going to be -29C.  I love winter

Oh, a random Win10 update fucked my entire profile and locked away all my files and preference choices ever.

Ended up having to go in through a command to create an admin account, unlock and back up my files, delete the corrupted user account, and now I'm copying my files over from my backup to a restored profile.

Oh, a random Win10 update fucked my entire profile and locked away all my files and preference choices ever.

Ended up having to go in through a command to create an admin account, unlock and back up my files, delete the corrupted user account, and now I'm copying my files over from my backup to a restored profile.

 

 

....What if i told you that user account corrpution is a bug that has been present since the, heh, "beta" in win10?  And that it can happen at any time when the system is powered on without any discernible reason?

Preliminary testing, seems like everything is back to normal. Had to set up previous settings, but that's all cosmetic. All prior programs are working, doesn't look like I'll have to re-download any games. May have lost 5 or 10 songs, but a small price to pay.
