On another note, DA2 had a pretty deep subtext about elves, that's gone unnoticed. Hawke's choices can push a new fate for them, perhaps just as much as the Inquisitor. Fenris and Merrill represent a lot of their pain in different ways, and you can reject/help their paths. The Qunari stuff is interesting too. Especially with crazed elf and Tallis. Humans and Qunari are vying for the love and soul of the elves. Where does Hawke stand?

I don't know why Inquisition gets so much talk about elves.. when this was far superior imo. There's more to chew on and think about. Usually people just refer to Da2 as the "mage/templar" game.

Just a thought, as I replay this. Sorry to rant about this hated game :P

Okay, as promised a write up of another one of my Inquisitors. This guy:
-snip precious-

Apologies for the long delay. Two down, three to go. *grabs another drink*

*Immediately closes SWTOR and runs to the group*

Oh and of course, sarcastic Hawke best Hawke.

Don't apologize for it. :D If you love it, rant away. I may have to pull that game out again to go through it a little more thoroughly.

Cool. It's something I noticed, but didn't pay exactly enough attention to before. It's nice seeing with semi-fresh eyes.

I haven't touched the game in about two years or something so I've forgotten a lot of the details. :D

****** house sized spiders and overused caves. Never again will I touch that game, even though I'm sure I could have liked it.

That must be the reason Hawke is so afraid of spiders. What the **** did they feed those things?

I see. I'll go through the tedious task of finding all my companions into a single gathering, and then proceeding forth then.

Maybe.

This brought me memories of Fallout 4's Sanctuary...*sighs*

There's a mod where you can change the spiders into mabari. Or weird mabari spider hybrids.

Not sure that's better :P

For someone who has arachnophobia, having to fight a spider bigger than the cave you're in and not being able to zoom out, that was a nightmare. I sobbed after it was dead, barely handled the fight at all.

I've been trying to play Nightmare.. I had no idea it was this hard (but I know you mean hard in a different way). That big spider in the deep roads was a pain in the ass. I finally got scared of it.

And I had no idea the rock wraith was so hard on this difficulty either. I finally turned it down. Very frustrating.

I was on casual mode and I still had a panic attack.

Arachnophobe here as well, but spiders in games don't really creep me out. With the exception of those big ass spiders in DA2. They make me shudder.

I don't think I have any phobias.. that I know of.

But I get sick playing games occasionally. Not sure what brings it on. It won't permanently stop me though.

I can handle DA:I's well enough, but DA:O and DA2 were just terrifyingly awful.

I own Limbo actually. But still haven't played it. It was free on my XOne awhile back.

Good man, Serz!

Yeah. I threw fear and careful approach to the wind. I literally charged in with as much DPS as I could do kill them.

Also, DA2 caves are the only place where I advanced as cautiously as in ArmA.

I can fight it. In the end, DA spiders are kinda sorta OK. They still make me shudder, but there's no outright fearful panic attack anymore.

Yeah dude. For all the praise DAO gets for being tactical (it isn't really), DA2 is A LOT harder especially early on.

Ser Varnell can be a frustrating fight as well depending on your class.
