I picked the "Destroy" ending , because regardless of the consequences, and the effort that my character made brokering peace between Quarians and Geth, his original mission was to do precisely that, destroy the Reapers and break its cycle. The Catalyst tried "sweeting" the deals with the other options, but he didn't bulge. He (and everyone involved, including the A.I. races) knew that casualties were going to be inevitable, he wasn't aware of this scenario in Rannoch (possibly wouldn't have put that much effort on it knowing that it was going to be wasted).
The risk that my character sees in the "Control" ending being a trap is too big, at the end that was precisely what the Illusive Man was trying to achieve and failed.
Even when the "Synthesis" ending seemed the only "happy" one, this was never in the table as an option when my Shepard went to the Citadel, he feels that he doesn't have the supreme right to take this decision for all the organic life without their consent (that reaching that consensus with the Reapers' menace looming is nigh impossible). He simply followed the orders from his CO (Admiral Hackett)
