I've done that ending, but I've never been a fan of it.  For one thing, it doesn't take into account life that forms from that point on.  Natural evolution will still occur on planets, so you're still going to have purely organic life take shape eventually somewhere.  Plus, from a totally personal perspective, no thanks to the whole concept.

Though yes, at least Joker and EDI are happy :)

It's ugly for EDI, and the Geth, but Synthesis messes with something. You're playing God, and no Human should ever play God.

Not even Shepard.

Everyone signed up to KILL and DESTROY Reapers. When you wake up in the Normandy SR-1 medbay after being evacuated from Eden Prime, your goal becomes to STOP the Reapers... by DESTROYING them. It is your goal for the entire Trilogy, and thus it makes the most sense from a roleplay standpoint as well.

Bear in mind, that's just OUR personal POVs.  Your game, you enjoy it however you like :)   If you want to turn everyone into cyborgs or whatever, more power to you!  Don't ever let anyone tell you that your Shep is wrong, yo.

No. I play it logical.  :P  I don't go for what I like, but what makes more sense. That's how I like it

There's no wrong or right Shepard. There's a character, and you gotta build him the right way, story-wise

This is all me, of course. Not tellin' anyone how they should play. Everyone does what entertains them best

One of these days I'll get around to "Mass Effect: Resolution".

That's my problem... if you will.

I don't want peace. I just want life. For better or worse. Which is destroy more or less. None of the other endings promote life as I know it.

I picked the "Destroy" ending , because regardless of the consequences, and the effort that my character made brokering peace between Quarians and Geth, his original mission was to do precisely that, destroy the Reapers and break its cycle. The Catalyst tried "sweeting" the deals with the other options, but he didn't bulge. He  (and everyone involved, including the A.I. races) knew that casualties were going to be inevitable, he wasn't aware of this scenario in Rannoch (possibly wouldn't have put that much effort on it knowing that it was going to be wasted).

The risk that my character sees in the "Control" ending being a trap is too big, at the end that was precisely what the Illusive Man was trying to achieve and failed.

Even when the "Synthesis" ending seemed the only "happy" one, this was never in the table as an option when my Shepard went to the Citadel, he feels that he doesn't have the supreme right to take this decision for all the organic life without their consent (that reaching that consensus with the Reapers' menace looming is nigh impossible). He simply followed the orders from his CO (Admiral Hackett)

Destroying the Reapers destroys the Mass Relays too. So... How is Sheppie reuniting with Liara again?

I mean, it's a huge step back for all races

Guess you're screwed. It's a good choice for Jack/Miranda fans :P

Also, it was never much of a step to begin with.

This whole Relay idea is founded on the idea of Scavenging. If anything, it makes humans look the opposite of what they've been. We're a far more creative and industrious species than the one in Mass Effect. And yet it continues on in Andromeda apparently. More empowerment via scavenging.

That might make sense for Turians though. They look like vultures.

My Shepard (and none of his companions) realistically were counting that he would survive, that always was the most likely outcome, just the fact that he was able to complete his mission was a huge achievement per se.

The principles (physics) governing the Mass Relays were well understood by the time when the game is set, even when perhaps the technology to build something of the size of it was not readily available, it would take some time to make a functional Mass Relay (perhaps centuries) but the knowledge was there.

She's on the Nor.... oooh, yeah, right.

That's a very good question...

I say if you went with Liara, might as well be a Controller anyways. That's what she is herself. The shadow broker is like a contrast to TIM. And the whole romance shows how much that Shep has moved beyond any human conception of life. Like the mindsex. Why would they care about the simple life Destroy offers?

She'll get over it too.

I would hope some "Duncan Idaho" like character killed it eventually. That's a whole story in itself.

Meh, I'm taking the ****** since I've gone off the series and don't care one way or the other.

Of all the things that annoyed me about ME3, the ending was not one of them.

Not a big prob for me either. My main gripe was the crew....or rather, I wanted ME2 characters.

The four letter word for urine. Aussie slang for joking.

If I had to sum up my annoyances with ME3 in two words, they would be Kai Leng.
Shepard acts like a moron almost any time he shows up.

FOr me, there has ever been only 1 ending to ME3, and it was RED!
