No, he moved to being lead writer on BioWare's new IP.
ToP: Last farewell of the whole crew.
Wait, you have divine Leliana. Surprising... but good choice ![]()
What will Bioware be without Gaider?
It will be the inferior parts of DAI.

I didn't know she would end up being Divine or that she was a choice as this is from my first Inquisitor. I still don't know how she ended up Divine when I've done basically the same choices with my other elves and they all ended up with Cassandra as Divine. Oh well, McStabby for Divine!

No, he only moved from Dragon Age to BioWare's new IP awhile ago.

It fits for me, I guess. Her Warden died.. :\ All of my characters are pretty miserable actually. I figured Cass and Quizzy deserve to relax. ![]()

Perhaps he doesn't like how the new IP is being managed, or just generally doesn't like the new IP and would rather not be associated with it.
It probably starts well before that. He was really upset with what already happened with DA2. To the point that he doesn't like talking about it..like it literally hurts or something.

Holy crap 17 years.
Quite a career. You know a lot of people associated with the new IP seems to be dropping out. While anyone associated with their pre exisisting stuff seems to be doing just fine.

The only one I know of on DA is Sheryl Chee. Patrick Weekes is still new to me... ugh. nuff said.
Mass Effect lost two of my favorite writers, and two of it's main creators.

I meant from BioWare in general not from just shuffling around the company.

If it is to do with what I mentioned, it could very well have been the straw that broke the camels back.

I'm not sure what you mean then
Casey Hudson moving from ME to the new IP does not count, Casey Hudson leaving BioWare does count.
It may be weird but those are the current goal posts.
Still. Sad. It either points to the new IP potentially being in deep water (who cares) or BioWare being in deep trouble (caring a lot more).
I'll only start panicking if Patrick leaves. ![]()

I first became a fan with HK-47..
Despite him writing most of Kotor .. but that stood out for me.
Sheryl Chee wrote most of my favorite DA characters though.

Casey was always going to leave.. at best he set things in motion there.. but this was no place for him anymore.
And it's funny he went to Microsoft. Because that's the publisher he liked, before EA swallowed up Mass Effect.
