Same, after 22 years the beach bores me.

It took me 26 years to finally go to the beach for the first time.

Snow is great with water.. until I pull out the cat hair shampoo that's meant to help get rid of the stains on his snow white fur.

 

He hates that.

That's his fault for being a dirty kitty.

Last time I swam in the ocean I got dunked by a wave and almost drowned as I couldn't get back to the surface. someone spotted it and helped me out of the water thankfully, that was years ago. almost 10 years ago actually.

 

 

Well the second half is certainly 10/10 . much nicer. the house has aircon, and a pool. My real main issue is.. parents.. and Australia Day so there will be a lot of drunks wandering around.

 

It can happen to anyone. I'm a good swimmer, love the water.. but been dunked before too.. then caught in the undertow. Managed to get out, but I was so worn out I felt like dying on the beach instead

It can happen to anyone. I'm a good swimmer, love the water.. but been dunked before too.. then caught in the undertow. Managed to get out, but I was so worn out I felt like dying on the beach instead

 

Yeah that was pretty much it. but I was in water shallow enough that I could stand up and have the water at my shoulders, I got knocked over, pulled under then hit my head on the ocean floor so was dazed, underwater, eyes shut tight because mine are extremely sensitive, and flailing a little couldn't figure out which way was up . A woman nearby had seen me go under and got me back up to air. I was ok then, didn't need help getting to shore, just finding the surface.

Holiday number 2 of the year starts tomorrow morning

 

I am not enthusiastic. why? because I have to spend a week living with my parents again. we do not get along.

but they paid for the beach house so they could come.

 

Aw. Parents. I love mine, but... Mom told me she has little idea who I really am. Mentioned she doesn't know what books I read, but... I few months prior, I lent her my copy of The Stolen Throne, and she never finished the first chapter

can't swim I'd drown haha.. usually too busy to just sit on the beach too, too crowded. it'll be like last year's holiday house trip to the same stretch of beach. Sit at the house all day drinking softdrink and playing computer games. So no difference. I hate people and panic in crowds

 

(tomorrow is Australia day it's going to be an extremely busy week up there)

 

Don't worry. It's not like I'm a great swimmer, and I actually love the Navy.

 

I wouldn't swim either. I'm terrified of the ocean or any large body of water I cannot see through down to the bottom. I love the beach and can get close to the ocean, but I'm not swimming in it ever.

Oh, yeah. Never been to a beach myself. Don't really feel the need...

 

Swimming tigers are awesome.

...I still don't think I'm any crazier than people who love spiders or snakes, mind you. The way I see it, even a tiger or a lion will mean you no harm if you're there since the day they're born, and they're used to you/consider you a member of the pack.
