As a Canadian this was me a few years back when I traveled to Australia for about 6 weeks.

 

Beerfish:  Good day.

Ozzy: Gday mate how ya goin?

Beerfish:  What?  How am i going?  Well I'm going to do some beach fishing south of Adelaide today.

Ozzy:  Ha! No, How ya goin?

Beerfish:  do you mean how am I doing?  If so I am confused.

 

Beerfish:  Hi, I'd like a coffee please.

Ozzy:  Roit mate, what'll ya have a tall black or a flat white?

Beerfish:  A what a what?

Ozzy:  What kind of coffee?  Tall black?  Flat white?

Beerfish:  Uhhhh can I get a large coffee with cream....or milk?

Ozzy: Righty mate one flat white coming up!

Beerfish:  Do you have any Tim Hortons in this country?

 

Beerfish:  Hi...(I think I got this now...)  how ya going?

Ozzy:  Just fine mate.

Beerfish:  Um do you mean just fine mate as in friend or Just fine...mate?  As in asking to mate?

Ozzy: Ha!  Ya been drinking to much Fawstahs mate!

Beerish: Fawstahs?
