I don't know... I'm actually debating whether or not I want to do the BA top up, which is another year on my course, but I finish with a BA Honours Degree.

 

I wouldn't mind the dirty jobs, just so long as I actually get to be around the animals. Preferably ones that are capable of killing me. Not that I want to die, but if I have to fight a lion for my own survival, and I lose, I would consider it a good death.

While I've only lived here for a few years and would never call myself an Australian, finding this on my Facebook feed actually brought forth the slightest hint of patriotism in me.

Of course, I also worked doors last night so the obligatory Australia Day "F*** off back to your own country!" was forthcoming but still, hearing that from one of my favourite (now retired) rugby league players was a nice reminder that not everyone in this country is against immigrants.

My first exposure to English, though, I may have been four or five at the time.

Mind you, back then I wasn't even the best of my class, as was the case for many years later (until university, basically).

I couldn't remember numbers beyond ten, for example. Someone else could. Hmm, I wonder if they speak fluently these days...?
