*Ber laughs and laughs... then has to get up and go clean off his shoe that his cat just puked on*
(that didn't really just happen)
I bet it did happen xD or it wasn't the cat...

Oh, it -has- happened, yeah. Just not at this moment. I was chuckling as I read your post about the keyboard and thinking, "maybe it's a good thing I never had kids" but then started thinking of things my pets do. ![]()
*watches Snow the cat take off down the hallway after stealing a roll of toilet paper*
Well, that's a mess I don't want to clean up yet. It might keep him occupied for a while...

Having a kid and a cat gives me a nice hugely increased chance of experiencing everything either can do. 2 weeks ago kiddy got into the baby powder and completely covered her room with it in the space of 10 minutes.. I thought she was napping.
Its all MINE!

My current feelings towards games coming out in the near future (before summer):

Don't recall any future new games that have caught my attention. I'm very selective in what I play.

Only one really comes to mind in the near future and thats Mirror's Edge coming out near the summer. Hellblade and Horizon: Zero Dawn come out "sometime" this year. Beyond those...I really can't think of any games that i give a crap about. 'Deus Ex: Eidos runs out of ideas' is a pass. 'Xcom2: The polished rehash' is a pass. Hitman games i've not cared about since the first one. 'The Division' makes me facepalm.
So overall...Meh :/
What's wrong with The Division?
...vigilo confido...?

Premise that makes no sense (Why are you trying to restart civilization in a major city that requires immense amounts of infrastructure to work just to be marginally habitable?), boring setting (because Midtown Manhattan), Pve gameplay that looks to play a lot like Destiny's patrol and missions and finally the pvp in general. I'm sure there are people who will like it but to me it feels like a poor copy of Defiance.

I like Xcom. It's a really good game.
I dont, however, like companies giving a game a new paintjob and a couple of tweaks and call it a sequel when the proper title would be 'expansion pack'.
MEA, TESVI and DA4 are the only games that make me shake, that make me wanna take Charles Atlas by the....
ha-ha-a-hand.

Did you play the Beta? It's a lot better than you think. I admit, PvE does look like something out of Destiny (but I enjoyed it more than that garbage). PvP is brilliant when with friends. Okay without. And the story, from what I got to experience, was actually alright. It makes sense. Think of it like Batman: Arkham City or Knight. Big city blocked off. You go in to sort sh*t out. It's more like Batman, but with guns and no acrobatics.

I watched hours of the Beta. That's where i get the 'like Defiance, but boring' from (used to be a Defiance player).
As for the story, unlike the Arkham series this is a total collapse scenario. Nobody is left to maintain infrastructure in any meaningful capacity anywhere in US and without infrastructure cities become tombs, completely incapable of sustaining human life. The cities are a lost cause in this scenario for purposes of restarting civilization.
Now if they would have written it so its a scavenging operation then i could understand it.

Looks like good old XCOM's gameplay with new graphics, units, story, tech, functions and all the other fancy stuff.
Basically looks like a new game. Unless you have actually played it?

Watched Cohhcarnage play it yesterday on stream (press copy with permission from the publisher). Couldn't really see any meaningful differences that would make it more than an expansion pack Beyond the differences in world map gameplay :/
Funnily enough original X-com and X-com 2: TFTD was exactly like this too.
