How the **** do I kill that ugly Deathclaw thing right in the beginning?! I just can't do it, I already asked mighty Google and everyone says it will be difficult when I wasted the power armour (?) on the Raiders. Which I obviously did. I can't go back to a save before because they're all right after it or right at the beginning. Do I just have to l2p or is there some sneaky way that I miss??

The ugly fucker kills my dog asap and then continues to rip off my head and it pisses me off so much. Bonus for having an idiotic person here right now who enjoys my anger which pisses me off even more

Try and get into the building on your left hand side as you come out from the building where you found Garvey.  Take pot shots from there.  You might have to come out and lure him back when he wanders off and then just leg it back in
