Hey guys, 

When I got to work today, I found out that a customer filed a complaint against me and it ruined my whole day. I hope you don't mind if I vent my frustrations to all of you...

 

I'll give you the cliff notes version:

A customer came in last week asking for one of the dips we use to make our fruit platters (not a platter, just the dip by itself) and I had no idea if I was allowed to give it to her, so I politely said that I couldn't. She was very rude to me and then proceeded to storm off to the customer service desk like an angry child. She came back a few minutes later with one of my superiors and I had to give her the dip. Apparently she is a 'preferred customer' and has an agreement with my boss to get the dips separately (how was I supposed to know that?) and I apologized to her twice before she left. Now, I am just waiting for the store manager to call me up to his office to give me sh*t for it...

 

TL;DR: Customers are assholes and I need a drink.

 

Anyway, sorry for the mini rant and I hope you all had better days than I did.

You, girl, you need a sport. And I don't mean just any.

 

Try something where you punch, or alternatively shoot people. (preferably with plastic, because then you can shoot them again, plus it should be as legal in Canada as it is over here - well, there are significant requirements for it to be legal, but they're fairly foolproof to follow)

 

Vent away, vent away. The experience is all too familiar to me. It really blows that that happened. My personal favorite customer complaint about me was from a woman that told me to shut up while I was trying to explain to her that someone was on their way to give her the assistance she asked for. Yup, she tells me to shut up, yells at me, and proceeds to file a complaint. I got slapped with disciplinary action and almost fired. People are gems.

A story of my own. From back when I was in bullshitplace (I know it's not a word.):

 

So, you might know that I would work by giving people the merchandise they paid for. So, I'd usually load stuff in their car while at it, because whyever the **** not, right. Except when I was really busy, or they were real cunts. Beautiful catch was, loading it in the car was NOT MY ACTUAL JOB. GIVING THE GOODS TO THEM WAS. So, sometimes, these big burly dudes would come, give me the receipt... Then stand there like models as I loaded stuff up. To not get dirty or something.

I did actually call one of these "Fancystance!" one day. Good thing, they didn't understand English. Especially not if I put up a nice Scottish accent! Anyway, one day, I was kinda busy. Been doing something on the inside of the store (whereas my usual workplace was right in front of the building) and a customer came. I gave him the goods on a cart and tried going off doing whatever I was supposed to (this is ten, eleven months ago we're talking after all) be doing. The told me to load it up, at once. We argued. Then he tried telling me it's my job, and that he'd call the store manager. Upon which, I replied "Please do, he will repeat what I just said."

 

I don't think he was capable of arguing with a six-foot-tall burly dude whose top was essentially a military uniform displaying a level of certainty that I did.

(Yes, I was wearing my M65, and yes, that thing was widely used in 'Nam)...

 

Surprisingly, it took them a month or two more to boot me, and it wasn't this idiot.

There were plenty ungrateful cunts though, so I think I know how you feel. Think...
