That scene with Triss at the party was superbly done.  That tiny smile/laugh of Geralt's  as he's watching her pratt around on the fountain.   Such a small expression but so powerful.  Amazingly done.  I dropped Triss like a hot potato - not having played it before the Witcher 3 I had to go with Yen (knowing she's Geralt's true love), but I did feel like a sheet-heel when I did it.

 

As I have understood it Geralt is genetically modified to not have any real feelings. At least that's how his lack of speechtone have been explained to me. So my Geralt screws anything that moves. Loooove yadayada and he runs around doing all sorts of fetching instead of searching for his "daughter".

I think that is just Witcher proaganda.  More then once I called the Witchers on their bull ****.  "the hell they don't feel"

That's one of the things people believe about Witchers, and Geralt often uses it to his advantage to appear neutral or unaffected, much like he does with the so-called "Witcher Code".  Or at least, that's how it is in the books (the ones I've read).

When I pick The Witcher up again I will have to start over so I think I will start at the first game. See if I can get into Geralt. But there a little to much Clint syndrome and I very much prefer the original.

Witchers still have emotions. People believe that because of their mutations, they have lost their humanity, therefore, they've lost the ability to feel. Not true. They still feel. They still have compassion, love, laughter. They have friendships, companionship, et cetera. They still have an individual moral code.
