there's a duke or something who is Gaspard's uncle? who also mentions how Flory hasnt spoken to him yet which was odd.

Subtlety: Not the plot writers strong suite.
For being people who were hyped up to be the masters of "The Game", the Orlesian nobles had all the finesse and cunning of Ned Stark.

So true. Intrigues and schemes were sewed with white threads in DAI.
But, to be fair, Ned had very slim chance to survive through first season... and I'm not talking about casting Sean Bean for this role ![]()

Just goes on to show that Orlais isn't the brightest country in Thedas.
It was also one of the reasons why I responded "When Orlais grows a third brain cell" in a thread if and when will Orlesian culture evolve.

And another thing, why can't the inquisitor have a drink or eat while they are there? Dorian's drinking. Bull is eating. Solas is enjoying the food and drink, getting tipsy as the servants keep refilling his glass. Who's getting drinks for Quizzy? (Don't mind me, sugar rush)

Ned was just one of those people who thought war was only a series of battles and that battles were always something physical. As he found out, war has many faces and they're all equally deadly ![]()
And good old Littlefinger did indeed help Neddie find the truth. Promise kept, anything after that was fair game
The book Littlefinger is one of my favorites along with book Arya.

Idk, I wouldn't go so far. Ned knew all about other faces of this constant war, was just way too honorable to indulge. The man practically hid himself and his family at the North so he would be spared from participating in all this struggles for power. Robert wasn't so lucky.
And as mus as I like the charismatic Littlefinger, I'm with Gaspard on this one. I detest the Game.
April can't come quick enough. I need my Game of Thrones fix!
Me too, but I'll watch it only when full season will be released ![]()

I stopped watching GoT after season 2. The series just went completely off the rails, made major unnecessary deviations from the books (like Sansa actually getting married to the bastard Bolton....wtf?!) and basically became misery porn. The books ain't rainbows and butterflies but the series completely jumped the shark with it.

In general, I prefer to read book first, but, alas, the next book is still Forthcoming, so show will have to do.
Those deviations make sense though. Nothing in the show feels like it's just come out of nowhere. It's all had the necessary build up.
This.

They might make sense, but the problem is that they are still completely unnecessary. I get it that sometimes you have to cut characters and change events a bit to fit the budget but these changes are altering the core plotlines without an actual reason. And it doesn't help that the deviations make the plot worse.
But like i said, i don't watch it anymore and wont in the future. Perfectly happy waiting for the books ![]()

In other news, i now know what it feels like trying to herd a pack of deaf and mute 6 year olds with ADHD safely accross a busy intersection thanks to trying to actually organize a team of randoms during a community warfare match in Mechwarrior Online. A game where the team is everything and lone wolves are free kills.
Eventually i gave up and just watched the aforementioned deaf-mutes get splattered.
People suck.

At least there is a mod to remove the hat.
All hail the PC master race!..

Still, I really want to know why this hat was included in the first place... And why it was approved. ![]()

"The Drasca were an order of warriors formed in the ancient Anderfels to resist the Tevinter Imperium reconquest in -535 Ancient. Renowned for their whirling blades and skill with the bow, they were brutally hunted by the Imperium until the last members fled into the Blasted Hills of the south. Rumors persisted that the Drasca continued on and played a part in the Anders rebellion against Orlesian rule following the Second Blight, but if that is true, they subsequently drifted into obscurity once again."

If you read the description of it from the one you can buy in the Hissing Wastes, it's actually Solas' way to troll Orlais. I respect the idea behind the hat, just not how it turns his face into shrapnel.
