Help! Trying to figure out warrior designations for my human and dwarf.

Human dragon hunter, romancing Cassandra = Sword and Board? (I like the symmatry of matching designations)

Dwarf relic hunter = two hander? Or should I not go warrior?

I always imagine dragon hunters as being two handers.  But that may just be me.  Sword and Board could work.  Sword and board templar. lol.  

 

Not go warrior, 'relic hunter' implies rogue.

Me too, but I want the awesome DLC armour. Guess I have to change his character.

From a gameplay point of view I can't decide what's better, between S+B and two handed. I initially HATED two handed to begin with but I was roleplaying a mercenary style character, who stood guard in case lyrium deals went sour. And I dunno, just thought two handed suited that better.

 

Once I got the hang of it I didn't mind it, mind you I think the combat is shite in general. Dual daggers is fun though.

 

I want combat in DA4 to be like this

I can play any class. My biggest pet peeve with archer and mage though is you have to keep running away to find a nice quiet spot to attack from. At least with my warriors I can just take those mofos on.

I definitely prefer archers to mages. As an archer I can shoot and move away from enemies at the same time; as a mage I can be easily overrun if I'm not paying attention.

I can see a dragon hunter wielding either easily. I used to like sword and shield best, by far. But then I got to know my SnarkyMHawke. He was a two handed berserker, and I loved watching him go from this easygoing, puckish rogue one minute, to a nightmare on the battlefield the next.

You should definitely go with your instincts for the human. I think pairing another sword and shield warrior with Cassandra fits really well.

She's stupidly overpowered, and it's great, haha.

Leaping shot is awesome until you get stuck in a tree or throw yourself off a cliff
