Wow. Theory. Struck me. It was an ambush.

Slim Couldry. The guy from the Crime Wave quest.

He gives you opportunities to rob some Nobles in Denerim. Now, if you think about it, and put it together, what he has you do is exactly how Sera describes the Jennies a decade later.

So, the theory is... Slim Couldry is a Red Jenny, and potentially Sera's mentor. He is also Elf-Blooded, and grew up in the Alienage, giving the reason why he would have no issue at all training an Elf to be his successor. It would also explain why Sera says her mentor was human, as she likely never learned of his half-elven parentage.

 I don't think him being 'elf blooded' would have anything to do with why he'd train an elf. He works with Human, elf, and dwarf wardens. Also, he may have one parent that was an elf, but he is still human. So Sera saying her mentor was human is indeed fact regardless of whether she knew his parentage or not.

It just explains why he'd have none of the usual racist problems with training an Elf, really. It plays a minor part in the theory, really. Just a slight detail worth noting.

No, it doesn't.

Uh, how does being Elf-blooded not explain the lack of racism towards Elves?

Unless, of course, you mean that he could be a hypocritic idiot, which is entirely possible.

P.S.: The last two XCOM streams are up in the group now.

Ugh. From the little interaction we have with Slim, he seems to be a guy to treat people like people. That's not because of his blood. (If anything, it's because of his life experiences) He doesn't treat an elf warden differently. And not all humans with one elf parent are going to have the same attitude towards elves as Slim. Being 'elf blooded' does not automatically make one not be racist towards elves.

Ah. A matter of perception, then.

See, an Elf-blooded that is racist towards Elves would be seen like nothing but a massive, hypocritical dick. Not really worth much respect, so I discard the option in the back of my thoughts. For no particular reason, really.

But yeah. He's generally not into the racism thing.

I didn't count with the eventuality, to be honest.

Depends. I think I knew someone with more than ten who wasn't banned, and I heard people getting permabanned with three.

My guess? Depends on the severity of the reason you got a point, as well as frequency of you getting them.

So, for example, getting a few points for relatively minor offences a few months apart would likely do a lot less than a few major offences in a short time span.

Of course, it's all up to the almighty Mods in the end.

Precisely. And they usually tell you. Both of mine were accompanied by a 24 hour temporary ban. Couldn't access the forums. At all. Of course, if you're tech savvy, you'll find a way to see what's going on during the ban, but it's frowned upon.
