I must save scum nearly all the checks just like I must have all the companions even if I wont use them.  Also the Shroud Quest is just fun even if that last persuasion check takes nearly all of my save scum luck.

 

 

Your Cait has a gun? All I could find was a bat on mine. Probably just not showing up in the inventory is all. In that case I am taking my combat rifle back from her then. I love VATS, I'm currently trying a sniper build so it helps a lot when the things I'm trying to kill are getting way too close.

 

 

Yeah, Cait has a magical shotgun with infinite shells she pulls out of thin air if she doesn't have ammo for other guns and no melee weapon equipped

 

And i have a sniper build too. By which i mean i have a .308 rifle i keep pimping and manually making the shots   For close range work there's the combat shotgun or a really souped up sword....or I just let Cait do her thing

I kinda did that, but I can safely say that 99% of all of those persuasion checks passed without reloading. I think it was more precaution than trying to cheat the system I think.
