6 on purpose, the 7th Harry was an accident.

Actually it's 8. J.K.Rowling revealed that Professor Quirrell is indeed a Horcrux. That puts it at 7 on purpose and 1 accident.

Huh, I don't know that Quirrel actually matches the criteria, but if Rowling says so...

Her books, her rules...

It's a difficult one, so if I were you, I'd discuss it with your team before answering. She actually says this:

Quirrell is, in effect, turned into a temporary Horcrux by Voldemort. He is greatly depleted by the physical strain of fighting the far stronger, evil soul inside him. Quirrell’s body manifests burns and blisters during his fight with Harry due to the protective power Harry's mother left in his skin when she died for him. When the body Voldemort and Quirrell are sharing is horribly burned by contact with Harry, the former flees just in time to save himself, leaving the damaged and enfeebled Quirrell to collapse and die.

Notice she said "temporary" but also "Horcrux". He was one, but not to the same extent as the other Horcruxes. Though now I'm not sure about Nagini either.

Mhm, I was just reading that. Interesting. Hopefully they don't ask!

Check with your team first, and if they don't accept it, dispute it. They might not know because it was said on Pottermore, not in the books or movies. Pottermore is still canon.

If they still say it's 7 because of the temporary aspect, then at least you tried.

I think I'm done for the day. If I stay, I'll say something that people won't like (probably already done that).

I believe it's your turn to ask a question for the Harry Potter trivia thing. Or are you only answering the questions?

Actually they're quizzing me for a tourney I'm attending this week. But sure, let me think...

What colour were the dress robes that Harry wore to the Yule Ball?

Nope. The book gives very specific details, even though they may have looked black on screen.

I don't know then.

I'm thinking I might actually buy and read all of the books. I've only read Chamber of Secrets, and even then I might not have finished it.

Didn't think I'd be getting Harry Potter knowledge here or be finding it as interesting/entertaining as I am currently. Whelp back to the hole, ya'll have fun with your quizzing.
