Well, it's that time of year.  Closing in on my first 80 degree ( 27ish C ) day of the year, so I broke out my shorts and went outside.

So, Pearl Mackie.  Primarily a theatre actor with a little film and TV too.  She's a new one on me.

 

A popular fan favourite was Rakhee Thakrar, but when the stories suddenly started appearing about a new surprise frontrunner in the betting I think it was pretty clear someone somewhere had inadvertently released the feline from a fabric container prematurely.

Ya, watching the little three minute trailer now.  Daleks.  Again.  Disappointed by that, though the "exterminate <> kill" line was amusing.   Seems like she has potential, so I'm cool with it so far, though like you I've never heard of her before.  Odd choice for a name, though.  Bill.

Well annoyed Foley is annoyed.  Seems for some reason when you synch up your stuff with the Golden Nug all the Dragon stuff, the bow, sword, armor, etc does not synch over.  Not the schematics.  Kara is stuck using the Tier 1 bow!  And my first special shipment was Emeralds...wtf...on the other hand I am still having a lot of fun with this so far.

Longer names shorten to all kinds of odd things, I guess. I think Billie Piper is often called Bill by friends, for example.

I've heard that one of the ways people might have worked out it was her in advance is that she recently friended a number of people on social media sites who are associated with the production of the series.

Sounds like she's got a lot to learn about keeping secrets from The Interwebz!
