Ahh Dark Souls and it's story arcs that are barely explained if at all.
I usually screw them up the first time although I get them on the one where I'm building for PVP.

The Uchigatana is always good though, especially for a weapon you can usually pick up early.
I can never bring myself to use one with a shield though.

I like having a shield with me because of the extra defense. I'm currently using a shield that allows you to use your weapon skill with it out. It makes for some great fights.

In the run I canned, I was using the Abyss Watchers greatsword you can get after doing that boss fight. That is a bloody good weapon I must say. I believe it also requires more Dexterity than Strength to use it well.

How far have you gotten?

I know I'd save myself a lot of crap if I'd just use a shield but what can I say? Looking good > protection.

But I just got to the Smouldering Lake last night.

Oo! I have no idea what the heck is shooting at me there but it is bloody annoying.

Have they improved any of the roleplaying in the Souls games?

I only played Demon Souls and it's basically just "game". Not complaining, but I thought it was the only thing the series lacked. Almost arcade like.

Ha. Nevermind. Looks like you answered my question.

Holy gif, Batman!

I was going to start writing that last Inquisitor backstory for Maeve (been stuck on that one for a looooooooong while) but got distracted by chemical compounds and structures. Anyway. Cabot, where's my mug?

What would distract you towards chemical compounds? Is that your job?

Ha, I wish! I love chemistry though. Was one of the top chem students in school. Started looking up chemicals that are in energy drinks, didn't realize an hour had gone by.

Dayum, Roy, wish you were here last night!  Wait, wait, don't take that  the wrong way!  I just know  you love storms and it was gloriously stormy last night around here.  Lightning, thunder to shake your teeth loose, hail, wind, and some areas even had some  tornadoes, though none of those in my immediate vicinity.

Oh yay! That is fantastic. We have the possibility for some thunder today and tomorrow. I better get a good show, Mother Nature has been tame over here for nearly two years.

    You have a list?  So what can I do to ensure I am not on this list?  Collect ten bear pelts for you?  Clean a shrine somewhere?  Pick some flowers?

You don't need other people at all, the stories are solo player content. Just close the chat and if you come across others, imagine they're NPCs xD

Ohh ToP!: Resting b**** face.

-snip-

Oh i know that but when random people want to team up, I'm too much of a pansy to say no to them and end up missing little side things. But damn do I have an itch to try playing again.

I don't like people either. Well, there are some. But not most ;) SWTOR is fun if you play with friends or at the very least people you actually like. Two lovely DQ ladies here definitely make my experience more enjoyable. I just ignore everyone else. Most of the time I actually have to switch the general chat box off cause of the moronic antics.

Pick a PvE server. Crank up "ignoring surroundings" to eleven. Enjoy.

I can recommend Sith Inquisitor. Until you get to Tatooine at least, because I found that one to be a drag (a drag with powerful enemies and vast open spaces, Hissing Wastes are smaller, I swear). Then there's Jedi Knight which is also good, but not as much as the Inquisitor.

-snip-

I had no idea there was an 'ignoring surrounds' setting or wait you problem mean for me to do that, too much of a pansy to say no half the time, there should be an 'always refuses teamups' type of option or something. Or I should get more back bone one of the two but the second one requires far too much effort on my part.
