Sorry. Been preparing for a night guard at the moment. It did not go as good. I swear someone was some ten, fifteen meters from our post, but it was PITCH BLACK. And then towards the end, I just passed out with just a buddy in the bunker.

Not sure if i7's are the best for gaming (rumor has it the hyperthreading is not that useful unless you do video work, making i5s equally powerful in gaming for the same amount of bang) but holy ****, that's way more power than my old 2500K.

It's not entirely flawed though. If you get lucky, you can make something amazing. Or monstrous, depending on the flip of a coin.

Sometimes I think I made something amazing, and then a particular angle or cutscene destroys my hopes and dreams.

 

Oh and those damn expressions. Are there any characters that can look good with that frown? It's like it stretches the whole face out. Suddenly my characters have monkey lips.

Yeah, I get you there. Some of those expressions the Inquisitor pulls makes me wanna punch babies. In addition to that is some of the cringe-worthy lines and how the emotion of the responses can be a little.. off at times.
How my Inquisitor managed to get some of that sweet, sweet Sera ****** is beyond me.

I think that's what probably killed the Inquisitor for me. The stupid facial expressions and the equally stupid lines.

Nope, not at all upset about a new protagonist for DA4. Toss the embarrassment out of the airlock and never speak of it again

L2CC! Git gud and all that. I'll admit that the brow and hair department is a bit wonky though.

The problem for me is the skull shapes and the templates I have to work from. It might be a little more intuitive for me if the "point of center" reset every time you changed a skull shape. Like nose position or eye size or whatever would be in a relatively similar position, according to face shape. If that makes sense.

 

 

But besides that, the skull shapes just suck. Some of them are alien-like. Or just huge. Even the NPCs look wonky when they use them (like Seeker Lucius uses a particularly bloated head shape).

 

I would have been just fine with their original concept Inquisitors. They looked good.

Oh my first skull shapes were an instant reboot! =) But now I think I've got it down reasonably well. I started a new Cadash today and I think I got the character I was looking for.

I like dwarf females.. but I haven't fitted them in my canon so to speak (I have a Warden though). Maybe the next game. But I have a feeling the next game will be great for city elves too... That's who I'm torn on with my warden (elf or dc).

So, I was working on my completionist playthrough and "By the Grace of the Dalish" bugged out.  I have full approval, I've done every quest, and I have no dialogue options left to go through with anybody in that camp.  The quest just won't mark itself complete and thus sits in the "Current Quests" section of my journal mocking me.

 

Screw you, elves!  I even chased that friggin' Halla around for you.

Well... I've gotten a bit burned out after Skyhold. This happened to me before. I think I'll set this aside for now. 40 hours and I don't think I've really done much. I do the entirety of DAO in that time.

I'm playing FFIV again and it's so weird, after playing so much DAI, to see Cecil (Paladin) doing more damage, than Greed (Reaver) does most of the time.....

What do you mean? You stuck with the default?

 

I warmed up to the human default actually... I used to think it was horrible, but it's pretty good.

Yeah went with the default name. Something I tend to do a lot unless the game forces me otherwise but since I've been naming the others lately I felt kind of bad for not giving him one as well^^;

I like quite a few of their defaults over the games actually. The Dalish in DAO had some meaning to them. And I can't do better than Natia Brosca. That sounds badass.
