The Inquisitor had to fight for every single scrap they were given at first.
Um. What?
You're a prisoner for five seconds and then suddenly you're the "Herald of Andraste". While you don't get the official title of Inquisitor until Skyhold, all decisions are left up to you until that point. It's just "unofficial" beforehand.
Additionally, there is never any struggle. Corypheus can easily kill you in in your fart shall burn, but instead spends that time preaching "evil villain" bullshit to you.
Solas tells you about Skyhold, but you get the credit for the find and just like that, you have an awesome base of operations.
While the same is true for Origins.. You start off, get put into a bad situation then have no choice but to join the GWs, after that traitorous wretch Logain does his thing it's just you and Alistair, but for some reason the senior warden leaves everything up to you which makes no sense at all. Even Morrigan points it out and has a laugh.. So yeah, they're about on par when it comes to "being special" and having everything "handed to them on a silver platter" except I find Origins tries to be a bit more convincing about "struggle" throughout the plot.
