My mom and I started celebrating Mother's day the day before because everywhere would be less crowded and generally easier.

It shouldn't be a set day. It should be everyday, because mums do so much for us (unless they are generally horrible people and don't care about you). It's like valentines day. Do I really need a specific day to say "I love you mum"?
