Beautiful cat..

I don't know about best portrayal EVER, but it was good. I actually liked Ray Stevenson's and Thomas Jane's movies. I think the Daredevil show examines the idea of vigilantism better though.

I don't know about best portrayal EVER, but it was good. I actually liked Ray Stevenson's and Thomas Jane's movies. I think the Daredevil show examines the idea of vigilantism better though.

The problem with the movie potrayals, to me, was that they had Frank go straight from a fairly normal military vet to the stone cold psycho you usually see him as in the comics in a blink. The Daredevil version is Frank Castle at a fairly early stage when there was still some Frank Castle left in the Punisher. Not that i blame the movie teams for the portrayal because when those movies came out...there hadn't really been any potrayals of him as anything other than the Punisher. Now we have Rachel Alves in the comic series as a comrade-in-punishing and as the Punisher whenever Frank is prevented from being active and with a similar backstory to Franks but at a much earlier stage which, i think, Daredevil bases their version of Frank on.

And yeah, DD takes a good look at vigilantism much like the Arrow does

Never heard of her.. I'm really out of it.

That Thomas Jane version seemed to show some time passing a little, but I get your point. And they created something interesting here with Fisk sort of partly creating the Punisher.

Fisk btw is the best part of the show.

edit:

I was gonna partly base an Inquisitor off of the Daredevil... but I switched to Artificer. Fits better for Assassin, I think. Minus the killing..lol

Honestly, i had to google her too when i first start seeing images of a redheaded woman in the Punisher shirt since thats not a series that i really follow Makes sense that they're preparing a replacement, though. Unlike other heroes Frank's backstory has never been updated in the comics and he's still a Vietnam vet so he's pushing 70 at this point. Mind you, he's been dead at least once (dead as in chopped to bits and dumped in to the sewer) and resurrected so who knows how his body works these days
