On this subject I liked Civ 4s or Farcry's random event systems.  Every once in a while you would get a notice that one of your outposts was under attack or something out in the world had happened that would effect gameplay/ the Inquisiton.  It would have gone a long way to making Inquisition feel a lot more lively then it did in the final product.

Kara's new weapon.

I think this is why I sort of unconsciously started shifting my Inquisitor idea to this relic hunter type of dude.. the game itself lent to that, more than my older ideas.

I do really like that idea.  Kara is a bit of a relic hunter history seeker herself.  Or at least she was in 1.0.  I am rushing this PT a bit because well I have FO 4 I am getting in like 3 days and then Witcher 3 Blood and Wine looks...sick.

I also really like my idea for DA 4 I am starting to develop.  A lot could change though in the meantime but given how dark I am thinking DA 4 is going to be, because of the subject matter of Terrorism and Guerilla war it will almost certainly have to address, and since (for better or worse) BioWare is shameless copycats and we exisist in a post Witcher 3 world...I just like this idea of a very noble human archer who is a good person yet a very humble person and a believer in whatever religion he can subscribe to.  Kinda the opposite from Kara, much more down to Earth and about small change.  I guess.

I'd love to play a city elf in Tevinter, but since I already have an elf, I might need to mix it up... I might actually play a Qunari, if I can. They better have good hair next time too :P

Could you see a Qunari rocking a Jason Momoa esque hair style?

Oh, I'd still have to be a female Qunari. I can't stand the dudes. :D

But yeah, I could see that.

Since we are having a valued discussion in all I have always been curious about something.  When you smack a rune on a weapon your rune, and then the stats for said weapon says 'it does X amount of Y damage or against Z target'.  Now that is fine, but then the base damage also seems to go up that the weapon can do.  In this case Kara's bow would be doing...168? damage without her fire bow.  And I am thinking about slapping a Superb Clensing room on the thing to tick the damage above 200.

I think a Dwarven Tomb raider would have worked better.  You know, because of the assets.

I could see a dwarven tomb raider with like a custom mining light on their head.

Oh that would be so sick.  A Dwarven Inquisitor with a mining light, lyrium powered, and the whole crossbow for an arm attachment for their arm.

Exactly! It just seems oddly incongruous.

I wanted to, but I'm confused.

That's more a question for PapaCharlie9

Edit: I'm thinking of doing a new WS after I finished Greed's PT.

DAO: City Elf / Archer / romancing Zevran

DA2: Warrior(?) / romancing Izzy / siding with Templars (eeeew)

DAI: Dalish / KE / romancing Cullen / going the Templar route

I'm sure she did, but it's not a combination one would expect to work, really, which is what I was saying.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't though? I mean, they're tall but they're not that big. And the horns don't really have much influence on the gown. I think it really just depends on the face.

The gowns I've seen for dwarves don't work half as well as the Qunari gowns, sadly. The proportions are a little wonky.

Sorry, not to be argumentative, just curious.

I guess I'm used to them in action, if you like, armoured or practically dressed, rather than in some kind of dress.  Without mods most Inquisitors spend their entire time wearing trousers of one kind or another, with just a brief marriage scene for the lucky few to get to wear one.  I spose it's mostly that you don't often (if ever) see qunari in formal wear, so it seems like an odd combination.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't have wanted to see Isileth take centre stage at Halamshiral in a mighty fine gown, though, albeit one properly crafted by the devs for that purpose.

I don't see a question here. Runes add damage to your base weapon damage which is why overall DPS goes up when you add a rune. You're doing additional damage to enemies that are effected by the rune.

It could have done with showing the rune/no rune damages of weapons to be honest, especially those that only affect certain targets, such as cleansing or dragon runes.

Ah, whereas I specifically use mods to get the look I see in my head. I won't go to Halamshiral without mods since they became available.
