It's weird how quickly one can fall in the game world.. especially hardware. They were like mainstream darlings when the Wii came out... but being a generation behind hurt them.
Xbox was kicking ass with the 360, but they have like half the sales of PS4 now. Since it's MS, nobody thinks they're going away, but it's not exactly positive news for them either.
I use my 3DS a ton though, plus I think the good games for Wii U will come out at the end like the FE/SMT crossover and a few pretty good ones came out already I think like the Fatal Frame game.
I don't think I'm going to get a PS4, NX, or X1 ever to be honest... I hope Nintendo just keeps making some games for Wii U.
My biggest problem is like the entire CRPG/Western hardcore gaming market just collapsed entirely, like it was just utterly wiped out and absorbed into the Hollywood industry and now they're indistinguishable, for the most part as this one big, mammoth superstate enterprise thing.
There's a lot of sales from western console games Jax(sic?) and Daxter, Crash Bandicoot, etc, and their modern equivalents like God of War, Uncharted, etc, but I just never liked those games much at all, to be honest. Like, I hated that game Hitman more than like anything... lol.. sorry to people that made it all.
It's aggravated by the fact that whenever something tries to get going elsewhere, like I honestly like Minecraft... but yeah something tries to get going before you know it that's all basically just like every other scene, and before you know it there's like a bazillion clones.
There's occasionally good hardcore games like Wolfenstein or Doom 4 or Bioware sorta at times but they are few and far and in between...
