I can't figure out what's wrong with it! If I hard reset the console, it will sign me in, but not allow me to play online (which it says the connection is good and so I should be allowed to). If I sign out manually, I can no longer sign back in. If I turn off the console and turn it back on, it will not sign me in. And I can't figure out what is wrong with it because, if there is an error code popping up in the millisecond a box appears on screen, I can't ****** see it!

so if the big problem is inability to sign in, the issue is with Xbox Live then. you may have to give it an hour and try to sign in again then.

Good morning I think. Got hit with a sudden urge of FO4, going to attempt something stupid and see if I can remake any of my OCs in the Fall Out Universe. Alright... Google's remarkably quiet about this... I assume that by hard reset, you did the whole unplugarooni electrirooni dance, right...

 

Is there a turn on/off internet connection like you might encounter on a Wi-Fi laptop? Logical one, not physical. That'd be pulling the cable in an out. On second thought, maybe do try that as well.

Good. Isolated the issue, it's the machine. I also took the liberty of peeking at the "IS Xbox Live On?" site from Microsoft, and it reports green across the board.

 

You're going to hate me for saying it's good, but now that we know the issue is with the machine, we can start checking every aspect of it. Any physical damage you can see? Did it fall recently? Gotta check everything.

Nope, no damage outside. It didn't drop or anything. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it inside, unless the soldering has come undone, which it shouldn't have. My Xbox is in a well ventilated place.

 

I'm trying a factory reset now.

You do that... Now, if there are no causes for physical damage, it might be in the software, but I'm assuming a factory reset would fix that right up, kind of like a fresh Windows install.

Pretty much, yeah. It's at least allowed me to get my account back onto my console. I removed it from the console and attempted to get it back on but it just didn't want to. And it wasn't because of an error with the profile. It happened right after I selected the option to just add a new profile.

 

Okay. I think it's working now. I'm going to turn it off and on again and see if it has any more problems.
