You know I just had a thought.  Dragon Age is the first series (that I have been exposed to) that really has introduced people to the concept of 'combat mages'.  After a fashion anyways.  Instead of people wise old men, or women, crafting power and complex spells or just sitting on the side lines they can swing and do stuff at very close queaters and kick butt.

I think DA is (for me) the first game where non-mages can't learn any spells in any form. If I exclude Bard Songs and Warrior taunting/buff skills, tho idk if the Ranger skills in DAO count as spells, I mean you "summon" an animal 

 

I mean, look at the Sphere Grid from FFX, theoretically you could go any skill path you wanted with every chara, you'd just have to unlock the Lock Spheres.

Been a long day. Tired now.

Played a demo of Compounded, a chemistry based card game of getting elements to make molecules to score points. The score track is the periodic table! Also played an amusing card game of Victorian social climbing and backstabbing.

Walked around a lot of stalls and looked at stuff. Nothing demanding it be bought yet but I still haven't seen every stall

Welp, yup my EA account got hacked for a second time. Good news is it happened only like 5 hours ago. And all cards on the account payment info are expired so no charges made. The hacker just changed the country of residence to Russian Federacy, that's about it. Unlike last time when a Portuguese person spent 300$ on my card on origin games I already owned. my that was a hassle to get fixed.

Only weird thing was that the language was set to english, but my Origin menu and text was still in german.
