Is his hair a bit darker or is it the lighting?

Ok, the PJs... they're really pretty but they look slightly girly to me because of the shiny golden decorations. On the other hand... since he's a mage they'd look better on him than on any other male elf. I say- if you find any other PJs that work for his character, get those, if not, these are fine.

ETA: The more I look at the pics the more they're growing on me.
