So i played Mirror's Edge: Catalyst.....

 

It's a broken release on all platforms. The graphics are completely messed up and glitches are everywhere even on consoles. Bad, bad, bad.

The story and world are just generic cyberpunk and have none of the character or feel of the real Mirror's Edge.

Heck, i headcanon it as Syndicate: Catalyst and the story and world work 1000x better since this game actually fits that universe.

Combat is bad. Thankfully you can avoid most of it but of course there are sections that lock you in to a room with a bunch of baddies with the only way out opening only after you beat the snot out of them   

The one good thing with the game is the movement system that is actuall smooth.....EXCEPT THEY LOCKED BASIC MOVEMENT STUFF LIKE THE SAFETY ROLL BEHIND A FRIGGING "PROGRESSION" SYSTEM!!!!!!!

 

Overall verdict:

KILL IT WITH FIRE!

As main antagonists.

Players will take on the role of a new, never seen before race of grey faceless men (with boob sliders for the gender enthusiasts). Combat willl now be a dialogue wheel that will consist of "And we are done here.", "as this discussion has now derailed it will be closed." and "no valued discussion." Voice acting will consist of lifeless and robotic tones. (just like the Inquisitor).

You will travel across Thedas recruiting Hero of Fereldan fans, racists, valley girls and knitting club members to form an army to take down the Drinkquisition.

    Well, I cannot say I'm pleased, Inquisitor. Thanks to you, I now have a soldier whose sole job is to shake the duchess's head at social ne'er-do-wells. Was this truly necessary? I could have had a cherry of a "don't" sign delivered from Kirkwall in a matter of days. Or made here. I believe that Varric commands the rights. Regardless, I am not sure the problem was solved. ...only to have your entire army beaten by a bunch of Elven hunters, no matter your choices during the game.

If you don't plan on playing DA:I in the near future, save all of the stuff on an external hard drive to get a lot of space. Then if you do want to play again you won't have to download it again and wait forever. :x

WEWH is my least favorite DAI quest. It felt rushed. If I had not read TME, I would have been more than a little confused as to what was happening between Celene, Gaspard, and Briala. I don't think they did a good job putting that info in the quest for those that did not read the book. I like the idea behind the quest, I just don't think it was executed well. Making Florianne a jester is definitely a perk.

For maxium lulz bring Iron Bull, Blackwall, and Sera. I enjoyed it even before I had the backstory, but then again I also used a walkthrough, so it probably wasn't as annoying as it would have been if I bothered trying to wing it.
