Oh, I've seen it elsewhere, so I wasn't sure if people were just dumb, lol.

Can someone explain to me why everyone calls him Gerald? The subtitles clearly say Geralt with a T, and it's pretty clearly pronounced.

 

Because Geralt is, as far as the average person knows, a made up name (I'm not sure if real people are called Geralt - at least before the game became popular anyway) that sounds and looks similar to a more common name - that being Gerald.
