Y'know, it just struck me. The one thing we have in common with the Americans: YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE SECOND AMENDMENT.
Americans do seem a tad more extreme about it, however. I heard you can even legally shoot a cop if they try to arrest you for no good reason.
All I have to say about that particular bit is... *shudder*

Seriously, was just thinking about an MP game (from long ago), my team died and I was the last one standing. My reaction: HOW DARE YOU TO KILL MY TEAM!!

Personally I'd rather have the protection of Fen'harel.  You know its kinda funny I really did like the Dread Wolf before he became a genocidal egg head.

Speaking about the Hinterlands in thinking about how I am going to help my GF get used to playing DA I...I realized and appreciated just how well the beginning of the game was designed.  The slow weave and build up of letting Haven/ The Hinterlands get you used to the game and its mechanics. 

I really think they did a poor job with the beginning, mostly just with the Hinterlands. They front loaded the Hinterlands and IMO, it was way too much at the start. Yes, you only need 4 power to then move on, but I might as well go over there and over there. Oh, and there's one over there and this one just popped up, etc. The Hinterlands trap can cause people to get bored and lose interest or tire of doing those quests (again, I know they are optional, but I must do them all!). There's a reason that with one of the patches your companions will actually make a comment about moving on to Val Royeaux. BioWare shouldn't've had to do that. You don't realize just how many quests there are in the Hinterlands until you are helping write a guide for the game and have to write them all out. There are way more in the Hinterlands than any other zone. It's ridiculous.  So much was crammed into that first zone a lot of the other ones are pretty empty in comparison. Sorry, it's just, ugh, Hinterlands. *drink for every time I typed Hinterlands*

The Dread Wolf does not protect. He is a Trickster. I would not expect a Shem to understand.
