That's because the dwarf was handling raw lyrium, not drinking it's liquid form. I won't deny the fact though that bioware does like to play it loose with the lore, but dwarf templars can be possible.I thought it only made them go crazy. Mad. Like that Dwarven merchant in Orzammar who cut himself whilst handling raw lyrium and it got into his blood.
Is this further evidence BioWare play it loose with their own lore?

Pretty much all franchises play it loose with the lore.

Most franchises don't restrict themselves this way in the first place.
I mean, even D&D can have dwarven mages even if it's not their strength.
I like the idea though.. but it takes commitment.

Some of the most interesting things you can do is put twist on things or tropes. Dwarves don't have magic That by itself is interesting but it then leads to all sorts of questions. Like why? Or why do genlocks have magic? And then the events of Descent add even more intrigue to the subject.

My favorite is a dwarf inquisitor dreaming and not freaking out about that.

I was probably more interested in those answers awhile back. Not so much anymore. Especially with Gaider gone. He was kind of responsible for some of these "twists". Like Blood Magic was another one. It was his take on old Charm spells in D&D and the sinister side of it.

I just wanna know how my mage inquisitor wanders around the deep roads surrounded by raw lyrium veins and isn't affected. This was actually my only real beef about lore, or lack of representation of it, in DAI.

I barely glance at my suggestions. It seems that since I was looking at a lot of skyrim mods, I'm getting more skyrim mod suggestions.

I get a lot of random stuff because I only watch music vids on youtube, and my bf looks up stuff for games and anime, using my account. It's almost funny what we stumble across in suggestions sometimes.

This is why I don't get into lengthy debates anymore. I used to stare way too long at posts I was composing... but now I try to get out of it as quick as I can.. or remind myself not to engage.
